Am I the only one who doesn't feel bored as a stay at home mom?

I really love it but maybe I'm doing it wrong!

Okay op - tell us, how do you fill your days? (plus what is your highest educational degree level, if at all?)

I am not. I was a biglaw lawyer for 10 years. I was more bored by that job.

I was a SAHM for two years. Most fun I've had in my life. Maybe because I knew it was short term that I packed it all in. T'was awesome!!! Enjoy OP.

I don't feel bored. There is a ton of stuff I could be doing. I'm several years behind on certain things that I am trying to catch up on and I would just get more behind if I had a job. What do you love about it and how old are your kids?

2 graduate degrees, education & biology.. Worked 15 years, stayed home with my kids for the past 12 years. I love being SAHM and I am definitely not bored. My husband (and children) appreciate my efforts. I am very creative and love to cook, and do many things DH doesn't particularly like to do, like plan vacations. I spend my time raising (and enjoying) my children and buidling a strong relationship with DH. The only thing I don't like is some of the working moms., particularly those that have asked me to pick-up their kids and then insinuate that I am lazy or stupid for being a SAHM.

Sometimes it's okay to be bored. Beats the hell out of stressing.

I never had time to be bored. Kids, husband, cooking, cleaning, shopping, running here and there, hobbies, lunches. I never knew true and complete serenity until the kids left home.

When someone asks what I do all day I say whatever I want. I LOVE MY LIFE. MY BORING LIFE.

Not the OP, but I'll answer the PP's question.

Highest education level - I have a Masters Degree

What do I do all day? - Clean, bake, cook, organize, decorate, shop, garden, take care of animals, do laundry, meet friends for lunch, work out (yoga and run), volunteer, hang out with my sisters, visit my parents, watch HGTV (way too much), pay bills and manage finances, run errands, ......... not sure how many more to list.

I'll really blow your mind. I don't have any young children at home. My youngest is a high school senior. The other are grown and gone. I am still never bored.

I'm not bored at all. I was bored at work, not at home.

Me three. I love it. Never bored. I can always find something. I've been reading a ton, too, though most of that is done in the evening/night. No stress. Love it. I will go back to work eventually but half of me doesn't want to.

I spend my days keeping house (cooking cleaning errands), taking care of a toddler and doing school pickup drop off extracurriculars with a six year old. I hit the gym 3x a week for an hour after dropoff. I try to do an outing with the toddler (library story time or playgroup) 4 days a week. We spend a lot of time with friends at their house or they come with the kids to ours. I used to volunteer once a week but since getting pregnant and dealing with all day first trimester sickness I've been napping for an hour in the afternoon while toddler naps.

In my limited free time I write, manage a website for a local group and read. While I clean and drive I listen to lots of audiobooks and podcasts and am learning Spanish from tapes. When my other sahm friends and I are together we talk about all sorts of current events. A couple times a year we have taken the kids to town halls and local protests.

I have a BA MA and JD fwiw.

My kids are really young so it's really physical but also so so sweet. I love that every day is different.

Hahaha! Same here, saaaame here. I feel much much less existential 'what am I even doing' stress now; now I DO truly feel meaningful
