I don't know if he's gay. DC1 sounds like the result of a one night stand with an American woman who agreed to give him custody for a big payday. Perhaps she was so young and didn't want to be a mother. Ronaldo has an extremely religious Catholic and close family. Most of them work for him and his mother basically is he nanny. There is a documentary on him that shows him very involved with his mother, brother and son. To me he seems like a legitimately good father. I think his mom found out he knocked someone up out of wedlock and she took control to keep her from getting an abortion and now they are raising the boy in Spain.

I don't know re the twins. I believe it was super secret until he had to request a waiver or leave from important games this summer bc they were born. I guess he wants more kids and before his son gets too old. Single women do it. And from the timeline it sounds like the surrogacy was already pregnant when he started dating his new girlfriend. E seems super interested in having a regular family in the documentary. It's called Ronaldo, I watched it on amazon. At the end Ronaldo and his son run into Messi and the scene is epic.

My family loves European soccer as we are from Europe, hence we know way more than the average person. Personally I am not a huge Ronaldo fan but he comes across as pretty normal and nice given his occupation and family history. I also don't think he's gay, just really values family and his overbearing mom never approves of his girlfriends so he just creates babies another way.

He's gone to great lengths to have these kids (e.g. getting sole custody of the first one, which apparently was from a brief relationship or one night stand or something). Maybe he just really likes kids.

I've heard it's because he wants children, and doesn't want a potential future custody battle to cause them to not be part of his life. Like, he really wants kids, and doesn't want a baby mama to contend with over the kids.

Here is the trailer to his documentary. It’s pretty fascinating, I came away liking him and I didn’t like him before. I also feel kind of sorry for him, the fan and media scrutiny just to go anyway seems like a nightmare. Everywhere, even his kid’s school. And he doesn’t seem gay, just kind of cocky and into his appearance.

nobody is saying he is not a good father. he could be. but he is clearly closeted. all things you say about his family and catholicism merely explains why he is closeted. he probably doesn't want to upset his mom.
