White women, defend yourselves. Trump won the majority of white women who voted “White women more susceptible to pressure from their (mostly white) husbands” “White women side less with all of womenhood than with their particular husband” Interesting note: “The more educated a woman was, the less likely they were to say women being able to support a family was important” This tracks true with what you see on dcum. The more educated a woman is, the more she places value on male providers “White women were most likely to dismiss the importance of women being able to support a family” Translation: white women like being kept women the most and have providers |
Well good for them. They got the president they voted for... hope they're happy. |
Seriously? You just can't admit that women decide for themselves who to vote for? The most sexist attitude of all comes from you liberals who insist white women must have been persuaded, coerced, or bullied into voting for Trump - against their wishes, of course.
If anyone is setting back women, it's the left with their infantilizing of educated white women (and women in general). It's appalling that you're actually blaming white women for HRC's loss, rather than taking a good, hard, dispassionate look at HRC herself and asking yourselves: why did my candidate lose? And then coming up with the correct answer, all on your own. She lost because she was an unappealing candidate. Own it and move on. |
I don't understand that at all. I have a JD precisely so I could always support myself, with fairly regular hours. I grew up with a father who did NOT support us on a regular basis. I would never depend on a man for support. The only thing I can think of is that most white women with advanced degrees grew up in stable homes and are possibly more likely to trust that men will provide. ?? |
She was unappealing because of sexism. People are less likely to like strong women. |
Lovely that she feels free to pass judgment on other women and their relationships with their husbands. |
Here a hint y'all. Both Hillary and Donny will say whatever it takes to get the spotlight. It's so ingrained that they hardly have to try.
See how it works? Ignore them both. |
Y’all keep saying to shut up about Hillary - you don’t want to hear about her. Then, that comment is usually followed by some negative name-calling of our president.
Well, STOP TALKING ABOUT HILLARY! SHE LOST! And, all the blaming in the world is not going to change that. |
Thank you. I did and it isn't the Clinton syndicate. ? |
Wait...so you're saying that women can't be strong, independent and just as capable as men?
I have a better answer - and this is by talking to white women and not some article from a left leaning British paper. Most are tired of the "check your white privilege" bullshit too. They're being picked on and picked out for being oppressive for merely being white. They're sick of it. They're also sick of the media and the left constantly berating their hard working husbands, soms and brothers who happen to be white, or a cop, of a military member or maybe their husbands are all of the aforementioned groups. I know white women with Latino husbands who voted for Trump. Why? They're called out for being impressive when they're married to say - a Cuban immigrant. Bit hopefully the left keeps it up, they're ensuring Trump's second term. |
No. It's not merely for being white. It's for being white and not caring about people who aren't white. |
+ 1 gazillion! |
From the article: "Given the opportunity to make history by electing the first female president, women didn’t take it. And ironically, the women who bore the most resemblance to Clinton – white, heterosexual and married – were less likely to vote for her.”
Did you ever stop to think that maybe it’s because we saw right through her? We saw who she was and didn’t want it. We saw what she stood for, and didn’t want it. I think it’s humorous that these people are still trying to cast blame and make excuses for Hillary’s loss. It’s simple really. We rejected her and her politics. I know the liberals don’t want to admit that. |
Hard to ignore our President nor should we |
And so you still have no viable candidate. Trump loves you. |
