NCS has the best girls crew team by a mile - they're often one of the best teams in the country. Last year their 1st and 2nd eights both won at Stotesbury. Holton's smaller boats usually do well. I think Visi is working on making their crew team better. |
| Holton is up and coming. Their small and novice have won multiple times the past 2 years. Holton does not recruit for athletics though so it will never compare to the schools that do. |
| No local crew can touch NCS. Amazing program and coach. |
What a completely disingenuous statement. First no schools recruit for crew (as that's the specific sport being discussed here) as crew doesn't start until 9th grade in any school and there is no "rec or club crew" so there is no one to recruit for crew. Second Holton does recruit for sports in that they try to get girls who are good at certain sports to come there. I have first hand experience with that (lacrosse). Holton isn't the only school that does that (try to get girls who excel at certain sports to come to their school) but they definitely do it. B |
| Sorry above should have quoted the one about Holton. Im on a phone. |
| NCS won championship and does well most years |
| There is rec and club crew in DC. Check out the Anacostia boat house for programs. |
