Study finds more women being forced to marry down

Anonymous
There's no one perfect out there. That really attractive man or woman usually has big faults in other areas.

What is marrying down? That alone is so offensive and beyond narcissist. If you find a good partner period and have a happy marriage it's a success no matter who you marry.

If you based a lot of looks and lot's of money that won't carry a marriage either.

I agree with the PP, the concept of "marrying up/down" is stupid, its a concept that only applies for superficial people who still view marriage as a way to climb up the social ladder.

Say you marry a guy who has a better education and makes more than you but is violent....did you marry up?

And if you marry someone with less education or who makes less money than you but you love him and is a great father....did you marry down?

Not only that, but women are striving for equality, which is of course great. But total equality also means that marriages where the woman makes more money than the man should become more common. Else there just won't be enough men to go around.

Their fear of losing their status as "highborn". Easier to hitch your ride to a strong horse than having to do the pulling yourself.

Well duh; they don't make men like they used to. Nowadays you have to raise a man like he's your child.

Stop bringing Trump into every conversation on this forum. It's old now. Why don't actually try having a discussion.
