Anyone feel really beautiful with a big pregnant belly?

At 35 1/2 weeks, I just feel very healthy and attractive. Part of it is gratitude - I was not supposed to be about to have my own child. And I thought that, especially at my age, I would totally pork out, but I haven't (so far). Usually inhibited, I strut around naked in front of my husband now. I'm almost 42 and I've never felt sexier. I'm sure it'll be a shitshow after the baby comes out but I'm really enjoying this moment.

Of course, at the doctor yesterday, I said, "I thought that, being pregnant at my age, the wheels would just come off," and he said, "You're four weeks away - you've still got time for that to happen." And I guess he's right. There's still time for stretch marks and peeing in my pants and a puffy face. I've already got one swollen foot.

Oh well. Carpe diem!

Yes, totally! I felt hella sexy / awesome during most of my third trimester. Part of it could have been gratitude for me too; I had a hard time getting pregnant, and had several early miscarriages. But either way, I carried well and looked great and felt amazing / confident. Enjoy it!

Loved it! Had always been self conscious of my poochy belly pre-pregnancy, loved wearing a bathing suit when pregnant.

I had a big, round belly that stuck right out in front. I loved it!

I had a HUGE basketball. I loved it so much- every single time.

Your doctor is awesome! The beauty of the big belly is that it makes everything else look small by comparison. I didn't realize how big my thighs and derrière got until the baby was born. Rock it while you can, OP!

I do until like the last 3 weeks.

I feel so confident with a belly.

Oh my gosh. I feel huge. 17 weeks. I think b/c I haven't done a ton of maternity shopping. I need to get on it.

Plus all the reflux and nausea is killing me.

I'm happy reading this thread, makes me feel like it will get better!

Haha ahh trust me, you will look back and be highly amused at the fact that you thought you were (anywhere near) huge at 17 weeks. But it is much better once you have a clear, round bump! The in between phase is rarely a flattering one

I did with DC2. My belly stuck out in front so much, people in the street turned and stared. I was accosted by a woman in the Trader Joe's one day who insisted I go that day to the hospital because I was about to give birth - in my second trimester (DD came at 38 weeks).

I didn't with DC1. I didn't show very much, was working like crazy and didn't pay attention to these things.

I felt ginormous by third trimester, but in the second, I felt pretty darn cute with my basketball belly.

I'm petite, and by third trimester, even though I was all belly, it was taking up half my body. It looked ridiculous, like I shouldn't be able to stand upright. It was Sooooo uncomfortable, because baby was all scrunched up and rammed into my ribcage.

It was like this both times. My boss my first time around said I was "the most pregnant pregnant person" he'd ever seen.
