| I delivered my first at 42 yo and felt the same at 35 weeks. I loved, loved, loved being pregnant. But my body did all it could, and at 36 weeks my placenta just quit. My doctor said I was flying an old airplane, and systems can fail, haha. Anyway, my little guy was born just fine and has been healthy. I stayed cute until about 3 months post partum when the lack of sleep finally got me down. At four month pp, I am trying to pull it back together. Enjoy these days, OP. It is a special time! |

With my first I felt really great until the end, just tired as I got closer. With my second I felt a bit more like a large barge needing to mow through the day and I was CRANKY. 2nd baby was 10 lbs, so yeah, that sucked.
But yes, it's the one time in my life I had a hard belly. Otherwise it's pretty soft and squishy, even more so now. So yeah, having a nice hard belly I wasn't trying to hide was awesome. |

I LOVE seeing hugely pregnant women. I think the whole process is amazing and beautiful. I had so many wonderful women stop me to tell me how wonderful I looked - I'll always remember that and return the favour. Because of it, I felt amazing. |

I felt amazing during my first pregnancy, I couldn't wait to start showing and I felt beautiful. It was only for the excruciating 10 days post due-date until he was born that I was truly over it and just wanted it to be over. Second pregnancy I got big much faster and had a 17MO to chase around, so I felt much less beautiful by about 30 weeks. But now I get those pangs of, "awww I wish I was pregnant again so I could be the cute pregnant lady!".
Enjoy every second of it that you possibly can! Take lots of pictures (I only have 2 "belly" pics from my second pregnancy) and relish in all of the attention! |

Yeah nice internalized misogyny. Lemme guess the only woman you think is beautiful is a skinny one like Gwyneth. I hope you don't have any daughters. I'm 5'8" and I looked like a goddess while pregnant. I had super firm DDs that didn't need a bra and my belly was so beautiful. |
