| Immature? or not a red flag? |
| Definite red flag |
| I remember my mom was pretty critical about the fact that a president would call himself Jimmy (Carter). |
| In my DH's Italian family, everyone is Johnny, Joey etc. there are also a couple of Johnny raviolis thrown in. It is actually pretty funny. |
| I don't have a problem with it |
| He's a professional baseball manager and makes at least three million dollars a year. |
| Bobby Fischer. What an idiot. |
|
Same thing I would think about a woman who goes by Jenny, Kathy, Mandy, Abby, Becky etc.
I don't care. names evolve in different ways. |
|
I'm always surprised when I learn a grown man's name is not the one everyone refers to.
Joe Biden's name is actually JOSEPH Bill Clinton...guess what its WILLIAM AG Session...JEFFERSON (WTF where did the AG come from??) Mike Pence is MICHAEL I could go on and on. I wonder if its because as kids their parents always infantilized their names? I don't know but its a ridiculous trend. |
| Literally nothing. I think nothing. |
| This is the norm in Long Island. |
Is this sarcasm, or are you from another country? |
Nope. It just befuddles me - especially for someone living a life as a public figure. I understand celebrities taking on 'stage names' but why do sitting representatives choose to be referred to by nicknames? You don't sign a nickname on crucial documents like wills or deeds or legislation. It isn't your name... |
| I wouldn't give it any thought at all. They are names. |
I agree. You dont call our President Donnie and Melly. They are Donald and Melania. Have some respect. |
