Michelle Obama in Shorts...

I personally think Mrs. Obama looks wonderful and I can't imagine what they think she should be wearing when hiking the Grand Canyon. There are plenty of first ladies I would prefer not to see in shorts but Michelle looks fine! And I don't consider these "short shorts", do you?

Although I love her and think she is super hip and dont really care what she wears or what the media says about her - I would not wear that outfit if I was the presidents wife (not bc it is wrong to wear shorts bc it is 1000 degrees outside), I would just not want the media to spin this like they have and at the end of the day, it is politics - any reason for ppl to talk, they will, therefore I would have displayed a bit more modesty. Perhaps a capri and sun hat.

There is nothing wrong with what she is wearing, given her purpose at that moment. She looks athletic and comfortable. Should she wear a cocktail dress and heels? |

Is the First Lady allowed to go swimming? If so, is she allowed to wear a bathing suit? I can only imagine all the trash talk she would receive if she wore a swim suit...and probably even more trash talk if she wore a burquini.
Even though it is sad to read these ignorant comments above, I do enjoy her not giving a rats ass about what anti-shorts-in the-summertime people think. It's amusing to see Michelle irritate them so. |

geez, people. She looks about like what I would if I were about to hike the Grand Canyon. Comfy, light-weight clothes. Hair pulled back. Not a ton of makeup that would just melt off in the sweat and heat. Yes, the particular shot they posted of her on msnbc isn't the most flattering, but that's just being mid-stride and wind-blowing.
Politically, I'm not a fan of her husband. But to be claiming that she needs to dress like Barbara Bush in order to be "proper" is ridiculous. She's a fit 45yr old professional and mom, and that's exactly what she looks like. |

She looks fine. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what she's wearing to spend a day out with her family.
