I agree with the pp above me who thinks that yes eventually. In my opinion though it was two other things that sealed their fate. 1) Doing the show at all. It gave these women a glimpse into what it was like outside in the world and access to people looking at their life and pointing out how they were being mistreated. And it gave them access to video proof that they could rewatch and verify their own experience 2) Moving to flagstaff. The situation in Vegas kept them at least physically in close proximity so they talked and interacted on a regular basis. Moving to flagstaff allowed all the wives to TRULY live independently, not interacting with one another for weeks/months. And COVID injected that dynamic with steroids. And it was this ability to truly be on their own which gave them enough space to make this decision A bit of a perfect storm but of course the reason they were in flagstaff to begin with was because robyn wanted to move there because Dayton got into college. If they had wanted to preserve 'the family' they would have found a way to stay in the culdesac (although I've heard they were stretched very financially thin over there) |
I'm sure the wives all knew on some level that Kody favored Robyn. Covid just shined a bright spotlight on it. |
I’m sick of watching Kody yelling and slamming his fist into his hand and angrily posturing around his wives. I will be fast-forwarding through any scenes with him in it from now on. |
Janelle left!!!!
And there's not a new thread. It's big news! But I guess there's so few of us that keep up with the garbage. Look, everything seemed balanced until Robyn came in. I remember the beginning. Robyn f-d it up from the start. She needed her own place, the huge wedding, the long honeymoon, etc. Everything became about her. And kody was so obsessed with the fact that he finally landed a thin "attractive" younger woman that he couldn't even see the hand in front of his face. But he was a narcissist from the start. He was always an a-hole. I hope Robyn is happy. I just wish Meri would leave. The whole blaming Christine for the fact that he didn't give a rats a$$ about Meri was such a load of cra¶. I was annoyed. They need to blame her. It's sick. |
I thought this too, but in reality they were all still very unhappy. The difference is that they were all kind of equally unhappy so it felt like they were all 'in it together' so to speak. When Robyn came in Robin and Kody became HAPPY. And the other three were still muddling through 'we're all in it together' mode. And seeing that disparity added pressure continuously until COVID came and caused the beam to snap. |
Was the tell all aired? Or is that next week? I have seen clips but not the whole thing... |
Next week starts the 1st tell all out of 3. |
I wish Meri would leave, too. She doesn't seem to have the extended family network that Christine does; maybe that's what's holding her back. Now that Janelle is gone, how can she really stay?
I don't think any of them were really happy pre-Robyn, but they all tolerated equally mediocre relationships with Kody. Kody loved Robyn more, so she got more, which changed their whole dynamic and the resentment crept in. Robyn's arrival is probably the best thing that could've happened because w/o her they probably just would've carried on with their mediocre/miserable lives. Janelle and Christine get a fresh start now. |
After what Kody has said about Meri and Mariah/Leon this year I would hope she would do it. Clearly she hasn't found her backbone. She's a doormat. I know she doesn't want to leave the family group, but she can easily remain friends with Robyn and her kids. She just doesn't have to be a "sister wife". I mean she's technically not anyways. She has barely any relationship with Kody. |
I agree--I would never stay with a man who treated his own children with the disrespect that Kody has shown for his kids, including Christine and Janelle's kids. I think that's ultimately the reason why both of them left. You have to put your kids first--I hope Leon has cut all ties with Kody. He doesn't deserve an ounce of their time. |
This family was doomed from the beginning. He has 18 children! Who on earth could really successfully parent that many children? (Look what a great job Jim Bob Dugger did). Throw in all the physical moves to different states with kids in high school and we have this current divide. Then, came the pandemic and Kody’s mental health has deteriorated in front of our eyes. Craziness X 2. |
Honestly I wouldn't mind being a "Sister Wife". I definitely need my time sans spouse. Sharing wouldn't be an issue for me lol. However clearly that situation isn't for most people.
Those personalities they were absolutely doomed from the start. Mostly due to Kody, who should be the glue to hold it all together. |
I'm so enjoying watching this whole thing crumble. They were so sure they had it all figured out. My prediction, Cody ends up back where he started with Meri and Meri alone. |
There is position and power in being the first wife Doesn’t matter if your relationship with your husband is not that great You still have your place in the pecking order This type of family doesn’t revolve around the man |
Except for the fact that the first 3 wives were funding Kody and Robin. |
