He’s not going to even pull enough moderates to make it happen. He’s in a lot of trouble and doesn’t even appear to be trying.

Maybe he'll make it up among the independents? How many of that 20% didn't vote for him in 2020? How many were secretly Democrats? All that matters is the polls for the actual election, not the primaries, as that's where the independents jump in.

The problem is it's hard to imagine life in Gaza are worse than the hell that Israel has wrought onto the people there. You have 32K dead, half of whom are innocent kids. It's just as easy to imagine Trump washing his hands of the mess and leaving the two sides to battle it out to the death. He's going to follow the money; he's not interested in getting stuck in some political and costly quagmire.
Unfortunately, in this case, Biden being the devil we know has been too much. He waited far too long to do anything about the disproportionate Israeli response.
And by the way, I'm a liberal Dem and a long-time supporter of Israel, but I am furious at Biden for his slow response to the overwhelming death of children in Gaza. The children are not Hamas, and yet Biden said too little all the while sending more and more bombs to Israel.

Equally, if the Biden fan club thinks gambling this election on support for a government that kills American citizens and children without remorse is worth it, we will have the government we deserve.

Sure, but most progressives are still living a reality-based existence. A protest vote during the primaries and continued activism and advocacy are all net goods, but you only have one shot for any of that to move the needle towards your cause from the years of 2025-2029. And it's not with Donald Trump.

Progressives aren’t going to vote for Trump. The issue for the Biden campaign is getting them excited enough about Biden or scared enough of Trump to come out and vote for Biden. This election is going to be decided by who gets their voters to the polls. In 2022 we saw that abortion rights got voters to the polls. If that holds true in 2024 it should help Biden/Democrats down ballot again.
