I’m a woman. I can decide for myself who I believe and who not to. Intuition tells me she’s lying.

What if it were the daughter of a Democrat supporting McAuliffe. What would your intuition tell you then?

DP. What is this conversation in reference to?

A PP said she didn’t believe the Loudoun County high schooler who was sexually assaulted in a school restroom.

Wait until we see the Loudoun crowd tomorrow night.

Where in Loudoun will he be? Might try to go!

Did you already buy your tiki torches?

Oh wait - you still have the one you carried in Charlottesville back in 2017, don’t you?

My bad.

This has got to be a 14 year old boy.

The desperation is palpable.

Same here!

According to his website Youngkin's Loudoun county rally is Monday night, Nov 1 at 8:30 at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds.

In other words, the last rally of the campaign will be to stick-it-to-them right in Loudoun County. Think we'll hear a little about schools at that event?

Brilliant, actually.

Awesome! I think we just might go. We're generally not "rally" type people, but this sounds like a great time.

You're right. My kid goes to a non religious private school in another country (we are from DC but husband is on a temp assignment) and he has a "values" class once a week. It's great actually- they teach basics like honesty, respect, responsibility, perseverance, flexibility, empathy, etc, ALL without some stupid "Progressive" lens that teaches kids to hate each other.

You don't have to have a "values" class to teach those things. They should be modeled and taught on a daily basis. Start with the Golden Rule--treat others as you want to be treated. Many picture books have great morals in them without bringing in racial issues. Then, if racial issues come up, you have a foundation upon which to build with the kids that go back to values. To have people get along, you must start with shared experiences and, hopefully, shared values. But, in order to help kids have values, you must have examples. This "anti-racism" push is harmful. It is racism, pure and simple.

Labeling anti-racism as racist is the number one indicator of a racist.

Run along, nitwit. People are finally on to you and your despicable tactics. Don't like racism? Don't be racist. Done. No need to talk ad nauseum about it.

The democrats are the racists. Making EVERYTHING about race, identity politics until we are a bunch of squabbling tribal factions. It’s terrible for our country and I’m voting against it.

Let’s not get smug and complacent. Smugness is entirely reserved for democrats anyway. Keep your fingers and toes crossed and please do what you can to get out the vote!

I would love to see Youngkin win, but I would never be as arrogant as these Democrats, who have been insisting for months that their sleazeball of a candidate would trounce him. I don't think I've been as invested in an election in a long time! Very happy to see that at least it's extremely close.

Everyone is tired of your race baiting identity politics. Go away. And go Winsome Sears!!!!

Winsome “Token” Sears? She’s not fooling anyone - people can see right through her. And Ayala is going to trounce her handily.

Wow, a liberal is posting this nonsense? Democrats are constantly accusing Republicans of being racists and here we have one poster making multiple racist comments on this forum tonight.

I actually think it's more than just that one. Several really racist comments, yet no liberal called them out. Such hypocrites.

What funding is he planning to cut in order to pay for increased education funding while also slashing state tax revenues? I can’t find any explanation from the Youngkin campaign of how that math is supposed to work.

He will cut Equity Officers and Directors, Assistant Vice Principals for Kindness, Vice Principals for Outreach to the Trans Community, Social Workers for Outreach to the Gay Community, Assistant Teacher's Union Reps for Outreach to the Questioning Community, and the Special Assistant for scheduling three hours of instruction instead of eight hours.

Omg I love you. Let’s have a thanksgiving platter of common sense. Go Youngkin!

+100
I will be so, so grateful this Thanksgiving if he wins.

You know the governor can’t do those things, right? That is controlled at the local level.

There is a reason I now call liberals "literals." JFC.

40.

Well, that explains the terrible early vote numbers. No wonder desperation is setting in.

Democrats vote early. Only repugs think they have to show up on Election Day. That’s why the crowds are small. Most Dems have already voted. Why go to see an event after you already voted?

Such a dumb thing to say.

Too funny. My husband and I voted over a week ago - for Youngkin, of course - and ran into several people we knew doing the same thing. But I'm sure you're right. Only Democrats vote early.

"Youngkin’s plan for the federal relief money also includes $1.2 billion to fund school choice initiatives."

Youngkin has not provided any specifics that I am aware of, probably because when you actually get into the specifics of school choice, all of the specific options tend to be pretty unpopular. School choice sounds nice until you realize your child could be left out of the “choice” in favor of other students.

Again: quit complaining because you're too lazy to actually read the specifics clearly laid out on his website. Not a good look.

Cut Costs For Virginians
The cost of living is rising for Virginians, and people are leaving the Commonwealth to look for jobs and start lives elsewhere. Glenn will tackle the rising cost of living and cut costs for Virginians by:

Eliminating Virginia’s Grocery Tax & Suspending the Recent Gas Tax Hike for 12 Months
Providing a One Time Tax Rebate of $600 for Joint Filers and $300 for Individuals
Ending Runaway Property Taxes by Requiring Voter Approval for Increases
Cutting Income Taxes by Doubling the Standard Deduction & Cutting Taxes on Veteran Retirement Pay

And don’t forget ignoring the climate crisis, banning reproductive freedoms, doing nothing to reduce the number of guns, ending any attempt at restorative justice, leaving LGBTQ+ people open to discrimination, and an open season on immigrants.

Yee Haw!!!! It’s a republican wet dream! Vote for the Vulture Capitalist!

You should probably call your realtor. Buh-bye.

Actually he can do the things he listed. As for the hilarious post, hopefully a Y win would signal to the absolute morons in charge of local matters that the time for extreme dumb dumb identity politics is over. Follow MLK - evaluate people on the content of their character!

Cite the statutes and regulations that would allow the governor to force local school systems to fire everyone in these types of positions.

That aside, Youngkin has said he will increase school funding, but what pp is describing is maintaining school fund while dictating allocation. Are you saying Youngkin is lying about increasing education funding?

This can't be a real person ^^^.

Denying that racism exists tells us all we need to know about the content of your character.

The only racists comments posted on this forum tonight have come from McAuliffe supporters.

Understatement of the year. Amazing how their true colors come out when they think no one's noticing.

Who said anything about inequality? PP said "equity."
And, as the Democrats have hounded for the past year - equity does not mean equality.

We don't need "equity." We need equality.

Says the person on the left.

In our current system, the guy on the left paid for all of the boxes.

Wow. Hi bigot.

DP. It's "bigoted" to point out that the older person OBVIOUSLY paid for the boxes of the younger ones? And that eventually the younger ones will grow up, hopefully get jobs, and be able to afford their own boxes? The other PPs were right - what a stupid picture.

Exactly. And the kid in the middle snd on the right will grow up in a few years snd be able to see over the fence just fine. You see, you don’t always get exactly what you want right now, today. Sometimes you have to work to be as big as the guy on the left.

Really stupid picture PP.

It's more chilling that they are kept off the field and only seem to have access to the game. But hey, someone gave them a box.

WTF? It's a cartoon, dope. Are spectators generally allowed on the field when a game is being played? Honestly, DCUM never disappoints.

I’m shocked no one has an answer to this. One might almost think Youngkin supporters know he’s lying and simply don’t care.

Ok, wait. I just have to know. Are the positions you're worried about Youngkin eliminating the ones that are bolded? If so, we may have to have a serious heart-to-heart. I'm concerned about you.
