| And why? Go! |
|
Don't say go.
So rude. |
Sorry? |
| I like Bete for traditional Ethiopian, and Beteseb for a more modern but still authentic take. |
Thanks for these recommendations. I was thinking about checking out Silver Spring. |
I've never had BAD Ethiopian in Silver Spring. People recommend Bellager, which is newish, but I've never tried it. Bellager is a more "sit down" nice place, and Beteseb is much more casual. The thing I like about Beteseb is that it shows the cuisine continuing to evolve even in diaspora. |

Bete is my favorite. I also like Lasaac but the service can be horrible.
|
They have the best veggie combos!! |
| I like Dama and Meaza, both on Columbia Pike. |
| I'm a fan of Dukem on U street |
|
I really like Sheba in Rockville b/c they have a bigger
vegan/vegetarian menu than most Ethiopian restaurants, including dishes you rarely see outside of Ethiopia. Also, the owner is super, super nice. |
| Zenebech hands down, if their new location is open. |
+1 |
| The food at Sheba was good the one time we went, but the owner was not very pleasant when we complimented her. Maybe it was just an off day, but we didn't feel like returning. |
|
We also like Bete and the bonus is they have a cute patio out back.
Ethiopic on H St. is one of our very favorites. Consistently delish with great service. |
