Beauvoir Class List?

Anonymous
Anyone know when the Beauvoir class lists are expected to come out?

Also, do students ever get together for play-dates with their new classmates prior to school starting - PreK in particular?

Thanks!

Interesting. Our Pre-K and K students have had opportunity to get together about every three weeks this summer.

Well you know Beauvoir. They'll do anything to not deal with parent 'input'

I am not even sure what this means. And I wonder if you are the serial winker on DCUM.

The teacher assignments are already posted on the website - not the class lists though.

What if you're new (Pre-K) this year and have not received any info on how to log onto the website. Do the class lists come in the mail? Does info on how to log onto the secure part of the site also come in the mail? Just starting to get excited for the beginning of the school year and wanting some info. Thanks!

Class lists come in the mail - as does the login information. I would think it would arrive one day this week. You could also call the school to ask for login info -

How do they figure out which child goes in which class. I'm sure it's not completely random.

This seems like a rather specific question which should be addressed to someone at Beauvoir not on an anonymous board. I suspect that quite often people reply to Beauvoir questions, even though their child does not attend the school. It often stirs up controversy.

They balance by age and gender, and in the case of the kids who have been there before, they balance personality and consider established friendships. That was the response at a coffee last year.

Each year I am so happy to see the list. No one wants to admit it, but it's important that your kids are in the right group. With kids like them. Sorry, it's the truth.

I can't even figure out what this means. Are you suggesting there's a "good" class list and a "bad" class list?

well, yeah. There are some kids you want to be friends with your children and some kids that you don't.
