So stupid Aug clown!!!! One thousands people told you that it is case by case, no one is forcing play up. You are encouraged to try out. Aug kids are welcome to tryout on the US soccer age group, every time!!

This is correct. College coaches will compare your kid with other players in their grade for who they want to recruit. What the age guy doesnt understand is top college coaches will only be interested in the top 1-2 players on each team. And guess what? If these players are August birthdays they're the ones most likely to be playing up on a correct grade team. Lather rinse repeat and what happens is college coaches quickly (re)discover that Aug birthdays that choose to play down are a waste of their time.

It’s not about choosing to play with your age. I haven’t heard of a club that lets you choose your team placement. You have to be good enough to compete on the level and it’s the clubs that typically decide. Maybe the clubs your dc plays for are different?

You are f**king ignorant. I told you that a current 2012 Aug kid (my friend's kid, current bench warmer on 2012 BY team) was already accepted to a top (2012/2013) ECNL team next season. This is a fact!!! You just cannot accept reality

Grade Alignment
We believe aligning players with their correct grade is an important factor to consider at tryouts. At MTA, we are taking the extra step of providing the opportunity to submit a Grade Alignment Application to Aug/Sept born players with grade alignment issues. This will allow them to play and tryout with their correct grade.
