Does your family buy bottled water on a regular basis, or do you make do with filters? I find that the cost of bottled water adds up over time and it is not a guarantee that bottled water is better than filtered tap water. So my question is really about whether bottled water is part of your food budget.

We do not ever buy bottled water. Never. We all have our own water bottles that we carry around and refill, even the children. Especially the children, as they open a water bottle and take one sip and leave it.
It is a huge waste to buy water bottles. Stop the insanity now. |

I have a Pur water pitcher. That's what we use most of the time. I use it to pack water in a straw thermos bottle for my son for lunch daily, too.
I, however, have an insane Perrier habit. I do buy the big bottles, but they are bottles nonetheless. |
Never, unless I'm at work without my water bottle (which I have with me 95% of the time), and don't have a cup that I can use instead.
cool! good for you all. I wish my DH would get rid of his addiction to bottled water.
Our country has a healthy water supply. There's no need for bottled water in this area.
I buy distilled water for my sick cat, but other than that, no.
Nope. Never. I have a charcoal and uv filter under my sink. I fill jugs and keep some on the counter and some in the fridge.
I buy bottled water. I live in a really old, run-down building that is not well taken care of. Even with a Brita pitcher, the water still tasted terrible. So unfortunately, bottled water is my big contribution to pollution.
No! The plastic bottles give me environmental guilt every time I use them on trips. I use a Brita filter, and honestly, even the regular tap water is fine.
I still can't wrap my head around the fact that there are people who consider bottled water a grocery item. The stuff flows out of your taps. Why would you pay extra to buy water that flowed out of a different tap before it was bottled? It's all tap water at the end of the day, there's nothing special about bottled.
I only drink bottled water. Live in a really old building in DC. Who knows how much lead is in the pipes and the water supply. One of those things which I'm paranoid about.
We filter it. We end up with a bottle every once in a while when we travel, but other than that we try to never buy them. The filter costs about $30 every six months.
Always buy bottles water. We are the type to always have a ton of people over, sometimes unexpected... family, friends, neighborhood kids etc. I like to have them on hand to give out to them.
We do too and have cups. I also have masking tape and will slap a name on a cup, especially with the kids. Im not a tree hugger, but it is pretty obvious that plastic bottles are awful for our world. We all have big RTC stainless cups personalize with our names. Our entire family loves them. Holds ice forever. We fill ours in the morning and keep it all day. We have filters on our fridge and under our sink. |
