| Emmy? |
| Only if you have a boy and name him Oscar. Third kid would have to be Tony. |
| I think its cute. You can call her Emmy Lou Who. |
| I don't love it, but think it's fine as a nickname. I'd start with a more formal name and then use that as a nickname rather than making that the given name. |
|
Definitely a nice nickname, but I don't like it as a full name.
What about Emily, Emma, Emilia, Emmeline, Emerald, Emmanuelle? |
|
I think I have seen it, but spelled Emme?
I am from a generation that would never name a daughter Emmanuelle. |
| For me it conjures up the PBS cartoon Dragon Tales (Max and Emmy are the two kids). If this is your first, you may not have seen the show, but every three y.o. I know is familiar with the show. |
I am from a generation that would never name a daughter Kindle. |
| Emmy Kindle |
| I think it's fine as a nickname but I'd prefer a different first name, like Emily or Emilia or whatever. We know an Emily who goes by Emmy... |
| My best friend in grade school was named Emi - she was Japanese. Most people called her Amy, though. |
| "I want to thank the Academy . . ." |
| Jo Lo named her daughter Emme. I like it. |
| PP here. I meant J.Lo. |
| I think it's cute! I think it's fine as a first name - but I might also go with a longer version and use the short version as a permanent nick name, as a PP suggested, just to give her options -- Emily or Amelia - I even know an Ameerah? But I really do think if Emma works as a first name, why not Emmie? |
