2028 Girls Lacrosse

Capital Beat the now #16 team so talent is there. Even Heroes lost a couple games this weekend. I don’t think they are panicking.

+1. Maryland is a lacrosse hotbed. Generally speaking, Marylanders prefer not to cross the river (to live, work take their kids to school/practice, etc) and Virginians feel the same way. Maryland (Baltimore and surrounding areas) is viewed as the pinnacle of girls lacrosse. Perhaps NY/CT have the same reputation now but Virginia/DC/DMV does not. I don't see Baltimore girls traveling from Timonium or Edgemore to play on a DC team.

I really think it all has to do with the 29s. Some M&D DC 2029 parent (or other affiliate) really wants that team to stay together instead of disbanding for Capital, and is trashing the 2027 and 2028 Capital teams on various forums. You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.
