Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates

Wow good point, a lot of mention of letters. She emailed for help during her suicide attempt for example. She continues to write letters to the Queen. She is getting people into corners, who lives like that?

I don't know if I even believe this. But if it's true, it's her and Harry's own dumb fault. Kate knew exactly what she was walking into and William took great pains to make sure she was doing it with her eyes wide open. It can be done.

No need to do research when this was her goal from the beginning. She never actually believed for a nano second she would live in the UK as a Duchess to the spare.

Yep...they wanted her to keep acting so she could pay for security.

Because the taxpayers pay for their security.

This is a really important point that no one seems to be mentioning.

This is while they were still working royals.

Really the BRF has no defense if any of this is true. They cut Meghan's security while they were working and removed Archie from the line of succession. Look at Andrew- he's a spare and his kids are princesses.

They didn’t exclude Archie from a title - this is the protocol. Eugenie and Beatrice only got titles later in life, as older kids.

Eugenie and Beatrice have titles because of the George V letters patent.

They are male-line grandchildren of the sovereign.

Archie is not.

That said, if Harry wanted a title for his son, he could have requested one. There is no indication he has done so.

+1. Meghan has a fit about not getting to wear the emerald tiara necessitating the Queen to talk to Harry because she is upsetting the staff. Meghan makes Kate cry during the fitting of Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress. Meghan berates the staff because she thinks she tastes egg in a dish they assure her did not have egg in it so the Queen has to take her aside and say the family doesn’t talk to people that way. There is definitely a pattern of Meghan uosetting people over not getting exactly what she wants. This incident happens over two years ago and Meghan never says a peep until now and reverses the story? Sure, Meghan.

This was an example of how she was treated. It was a memorable headline and the tabloids turned it around. Why would Kate send her flowers and an apology note if she hadn’t behaved badly?

To be clear, once William had kids, Harry was barely the spare.

Harry wouldn’t become King unless Charles, William, and all of William’s kids died.

Harry is only 6th in line at this point.

I found it telling that Meghan didn’t want to get into any details about the Kate crying incident because Kate apologized. Perhaps Kate was the bigger person and apologized first when Meghan should have instead.

And if she had gone into the details then she would have been accused of being petty.

Catherine wanted her daughter to wear socks so she wouldn't get a deep blood blister from new leather shoes without socks. I don't find wanting to prevent your daughter from a very painful injury as petty.

First Diana, now Meghan?

No wonder Will and Harry are no longer a duo.

Will says some pretty moronic things. The fact Harry is angry yet so protective of who said it, makes me thing it's the future king Willy.

So what if William did say it? There was a lot of speculation of what the baby would look like. It’s not surprising that family members would discuss it with them. It doesn’t mean they see the possibility of the child having dark skin as problematic.

Hardly the same thing.

Why are there hurt feelings over Archie's title? Meghan is AMERICAN. She's not supposed to care about such things.

Also re: security. Round-the-clock security is expensive. Why should the British taxpayer pay for security for a couple that has chosen to resign from their jobs? Especially since said couple have the financial resources to pay for it themselves?

They want all the perks with none of the responsibilities and restrictions.

Honestly, there are a huge number of people ignorant about these things.

Harry and Meghan took advantage of that to curry points.

I will be interested to see how the UK public takes it, as presumably they know how this is supposed to work.

Can we talk about how Meghan whined that she had lost her name?

Yeah, of course you weren’t going to use Markle anymore!

JFC.

They keep dwelling on security, almost like they were insinuating the monarchy wanted them dead via negligence. Combined with the suicide comments, It was very dark.

Because it was her wedding week, Kate sent Meghan flowers welcoming her to the family.

And at the fitting, Kate had a word (apparently publicly - meaning staff were there to witness) with Meghan over the way Meghan spoke with her (Kate's) staff. I think the apology was over that. I think Meghan cried over that as it is embarrassing.

Not really if you have followed this forum and DCUM more broadly for long enough it makes perfect sense. Fits right in actually. White people love to be the arbiter of what is or isn't racist, people of color can never be right about the treatment they are receiving and experiencing, they are always lying until white people decide they aren't, which isn't often. See police brutality.

Preach. It's laughable that even when other white women call them out on it, they close ranks and say "you are part of the problem by stereotyping people as racist". Waaahhhh... So transparent.

Also, look at how many women on this forum are in loveless marriages. They can't believe Harry loves Meghan without it being the result of some master manipulation on her part.
