Which is worse - a Govt shutdown by the Left or a Govt shutdown inspire of getting what wanted?

I guess GOP hates the military too.

So I suspected there would be a shutdown but that there was also a decent chance it would get resolved before Monday. But this makes me think we have several more days of this.

Spin all you like. GOP controls every branch of government but managed to totally screw the pooch last night.

Do the math, Einstein.
It takes 60 votes. There are 51 Republicans. So, even if all Republicans voted for the CR, they would still need 9 Dem votes.
Even more reason to vote more Republicans in office so we have a super majority.

The fact that McConnell could not get his own party to show an united front and get their spin, shows that this is BS.

Seriously, you guys want a banana republic dictatorship. The point is to compromise to serve everyone's common interests, not just a select group of people.

So to be clear, there was a deal that allowed DACA and increased boarder security that everyone including trump agreed to then he saw Fox News as tweeted he wouldn’t agree to the deal. Trump is not a master negotiator, he can’t even make the deals he already got everyone to sign off on.

Heck, even some of the most liberal media is pinning this on the Dems.

NY Times: Democrats Seem Set to Block Bill to Keep Government Open

Associated Press: Senate Democrats derail bill to avert shutdown

Bloomberg: U.S. Shutdown Starts as Senate Democrats Block GOP Funding Plan

CNN poll: DACA not worth a shutdown, except to Democrats

+1. Republicans left five (!) members on the table.

That's because "media bias" is a made-up fake thing.

Bad grammar is the worst.

He doesn’t need 9 Democrats, he needs 15 because he can’t even get all 51 Republicans to vote for it. SAD!

The Schumer Shutdown will be played in ads all fall and finally the GOP will get the 60 Senators needed for closure. The Dims don't even see the trainwreck is fatal for their party. #ReleaseTheMemo

Stephen Miller is the president for immigration policy. H.R. McMaster and Jim Mattis are co-presidents for national security. Some shifting amalgamation of aides are president for domestic issues.

Trump is president for tweeting things he saw on tv.

Sounds like Trump rejected a deal with considerable funding for border security just yesterday. Did he want a shutdown
For those posters who say that having the WH and control of the House and Senate isn’t enough and you need 60 votes to get anything done in DC I say hogwash. What you need is a Senate leader who is willing to negotiate and compromise with the minority party and bring bills that have bipartisan support up for a vote. We still have a democracy when last I checked.
I will also point out that much of this could have been avoided if the President hadn’t announced he was ending the DACA program in early March which is just 6 weeks away
