^^ Funny thing is, Jenelle went on a little Twitter rant yesterday saying that Jace knows all about court because of Babs. And that Babs shouldn't have talked to Jave at the restaurant (she shouldn't have). But Jenelle clearly doesn't remember all the times, including the prior episode, where she tries to prompt Jace into saying he wants to live with her!


And side note. So Jenelle was pretending to it be pregnant when showing Babs and Jace her swamp? When she was wearing a skin tight dress and her 5 months pregnant belly was hanging out?!

The thing I like best about Jo is that he wasn't always that way. He, ya know, grew up. In one of the recent specials ("your top 10" or something like that) there was a clip from an early season, where Kail was moving out and he was a dick about her getting her stuff (hahaha, how the tables have turned!). But he was really aggressive and shouting/cursing at her, and his mom stepped in and told him to stop. I know there was a whole backstory, and Kail wasn't Miss Innocent either, but in the clip, he was being an immature jerk. And he was probably... 17 or 18 years old. He has grown up and matured SO MUCH. Yes, he was a spoiled cocky teenager, but he's a mid-20s father of two now, and he knows it, and he ACTS LIKE IT.

Kail, I dunno, just doesn't seem like she's grown up much. Her scenes from years ago are fairly similar, in terms of attitude and outlook, to what she's like now. Same with Jenelle, and Leah too (Leah might be worse). Chelsea is the other one who's done a whole lotta growing up.

This last episode, it was hard to see Jace being so obviously stuck in the middle. Why is he even asking about "court"? Oh, because Jenelle talks about it to Dave while he sits in the backseat. I remember a while ago Jenelle posted a picture of her Mother's Day gifts and Jace's card had some really terrible, large handwriting. It really looked like a preschooler or kindergartner had written it. Twitter was kind of all over it, but really watching him talk to Barb about court, his speech just seemed so immature for his age, especially when compared to Isaac. I remember Jenelle admitted that she smoked pot while pregnant with him, and didn't think it was a problem at all, so I wonder if there are some lasting effects from that. Wouldn't surprise me if she drank while pregnant, too, or did other drugs. Poor kid. He really has a worst shot at life out of any of them.

A friend of mine worked in the cannabis industry, knows a TON about it, and smoked through both her pregnancies. Both her kids came out fine. Her oldest is on honor roll. Weed is not crack.

Did anyone else notice how much he was blinking when he was talking to Barb during that scene, too? Also most like he had a tic or something. I feel so bad for that kid. I think Barb is doing a decent job, but she still gets in those shouting matches with Jenelle in front of him.

Poor Jace, both try to coerce him into thinking he wants to be with one over the other, but I think deep down, he wants to be with Babs. They are both unstable, but I think if Jenelle were to fall off the face of the earth tomorrow, he'd be just fine. He is bonded with his Meme; Jenelle is a novelty. And I don't think Jenelle wants Jace any more than he wants her, she just wants to win.

I think Jace definitely wants to be with Barb full time, if only because that's all he's ever known. To change would be a huge thing. I mean, ask Isaac and if he'd rather be at Jo's full time and Kail's on weekends, he'd probably say no, and he loves Jo. They just likes the routine, and while Barb is far from perfect, she has provided Jace with routine that he can count on. Jenelle honestly doesn't even seem to be that fun of a parent. They took that Florida trip, but other than that... she's not the "Disneyland parent" that gets to pump the weekend full of fun stuff and then dump the kid at the other parent's house for boring stuff like baths and homework. Jace is just... there... while Jenelle and Dave exist. at least he has Maryssa to play with (and Maryssa has him--her life is probably equally fucked up). If there's ANY "good" thing about Dave being around, it's that Jace gets a playmate his own age.

That would make sense since I remember Babs telling Jenelle about him getting trouble at school/daycare. Maybe the crappy writing was before he started meds. My DS has ADHD and his handwriting was so bad before he started taking meds.

No, that was Kail's new man. He was taking his things out of the back of her truck and putting them in the house. They only showed him when Jo came for Isaac. Javi was long gone.
