| Can someone who understands this world please explain why her salary was so high? She was that popular? |
Seems she knows some effective negotiation techniques! |
| Hope the sex was worth it. |
|
That's a crazy amount of money for a print journalist. And she'd get paid more for appearances on TV and podcasts.
They were paying for access and she seemed to have a lot of it. |
| Get it girl!! |
NFL is big business and she was one of the top "insiders"/reporters. Look up what Schefter makes. |
He makes well over a million. But calling her a print journalist does not help. Her comp would be compared to star print journalists. They still exist although there are less than there were. Maggie Haberman at NYT has similar comp. |
Think about it. He had access to inside info for one team and one team only. That might help the beat reporter for the Boston Globe but not a national reporter. |
| The New York Times has now reported Russini was earning close to $800,000 per year for the Athletic. (Owned by the NY Times.) They reported she was one of the highest earners of all NY Times reporters. |
Sports, particularly football is big business in the US. |
|
So New York Post knocked on the window of her family adobe?
Did she graduate from George Mason? The New Times story people eithrr want to comment or 'were unavailable to comment' man these corporate types. Also how expensive are flights to Cannes France? Russini got it wrong when the Jacksonville Jags fired their coach an entire year later. Also it was just a speeding ticket Dianna no need to FaceTime a coach JC Also we know now why Katie Nolan (cough) and Stugotz(literally who) were carrying water for her. |
This is stunning to me and I was totally wrong. The actual reporters investigating DOGE and Wall Street don't make anywhere near that, which explains a lot. |
Oh wow, Russini broke a story that the Skins acquired DeSean Jackson. Stop the presses for this earth shattering news! Let's back up the truck for her! And of course the cherry on top was that she blew the Doug Peterson story and suffered zero professional consequences. Of course, the story completely avoided the big question which is: HOW MANY OTHER COACHES HAS SHE BANGED? I'm sure the answer is on more than two hands. Her $800k salary was such as disgrace to the profession. Journalists who put their lives on the line and those who actually report on fraud, waste, abuse and criminal activity (and don't sleep with sources) are lucky to make 10% of Russini's salary. Just goes to show that a pretty face and a willingness to sleep around will take you far in journalism. Having ethics and acutually reporing on stories that matter, eh not so much. |
