When I’m reviewing resumes, these Ivy school applications are going into the circular file.

They are ultra bright, accomplished and hardworking as evidenced by their acceptance to IVYs. They are also willing to fight for what they believe in. Meet your future competitors.

I suggest they sign up for Study Abroad in Palestine next semester.

I love you.

That’s not funny at all. It’s appalling. Children are starving in Palestine. They don’t go to school. They don’t have toys or electricity. 17,000 are orphaned right now.

Also, Israel killed human saints trying to deliver food in Palestine, so yours is a sickening comment.

The PP was responding to a comment suggesting the protestors go to Study Abroad for Palestine. If they are so committed to the cause, go to Gaza and do something productive with their lives.

Wonder why all the pro Israel posters do not return to their true country Israel? Seems the IDA is 60,000 short of draftees…you know because many Israeli refuse to fight. They say would leave the country before being forced to service in the IDF.

But those protests took place and here we are better off because of them.

Change of this magnitude is not achieved without making some people uncomfortable, if that’s the only price Jewish kids have to pay then they should consider themselves very lucky. There are 14000 children buried under concrete in Gaza who would have given anything to endure some minor discomfort.

Stupidly outrageous comment, you think students being chased out of lectures and having their mezuzahs torn down and having pro terrorist people yell in their faces ‘discomfort’?
Israelis were murdered in cold blood. And non Israelis too. How dare you.

35000 Gazans, majority women and children are buried under the rubble, I dare because I have a functioning moral compass. I felt equally sad the day Israelis were killed in cold blood and I feel the same for Palestinians. You, however are only outraged at the loss of Israeli lives, rest are not human to you. Discomfort is a very small price to pay in this war, like I said 14000 children would have loved to live a full life and endure some discomfort but their lives were not worth anything because they were Palestinians.

But the causing of discomfort has a goal: that is the issue. We don't have to agree with your goal. Hint--your goal isn't to end the war

And, we don’t have to agree with your propaganda. If Zionists have shown one thing since 10/7 it is that propaganda is their middle name.

Actually, this applies to the U.S. govt. If the U.S. govt continues to say "no", what are you going to do?

Sure but protests like these can impact public perception and effect change. Look at the anti Anti Vietnam protests and SA disinvestment.

Instead of scoffing at these protesters why don’t you look at why they feel so strongly. Maybe there is something there. Of course it’s easier to write them off as idiots…

So I need to do what they say because they are angry--no I will not cower to mob rule

Goodness no, you must not listen to bright citizens of this country. You must take directives from the government of a foreign country.

RIP Biden. I’m GenX and am appalled. Beyond the pale.

If you’re Gen X, you know better than to accept a social media post at face value.

C’mon.

No no. Too dangerous. Safer in my tent. Plus I'm studying for my test so can't protest too much.

If you all are so committed to Israel then go and join the IDF, don’t dictate Americans what they can and can’t do in their own country. Infact, all Zionists should be in Israel right now fighting the good war but here they are trying to coast by posting comments from their comfortable porches.

These protests are a war against Jews.

Sure. Protests are a war against Jews, criticism of Israel is antisemitism, if someone feels sorry for dead children in Gaza then they are labeled Hamas lovers. Do you think you are exceptionally clever or do you think the rest of the world is just stupid???

Whatever you say but the protestors have to understand no has to do what they say.

You can talk about "zionist" all you want doesn’t mean we have to hate Israel now, no matter what the protestors say.

Well, I googled it and was surprised to find that 13 states sued the Biden administration due to the FBI spying on parents protesting school boards in 2022. Also, with his far-reaching FISA surveillance renewal days ago, it seems likely. Also, UConn reported that was it was happening on the campus in Nov.

So, my statement stands.

It is happening on DC area campuses as we speak.

So, you’re guessing, but are willing to make sweeping conclusions when you don’t know the facts.

No offense, but that’s just silly. Far too much of that going on these days.

Also, as an FYI, the 13 states brought an FOIA case seeking documents about *potential* surveillance.

And the FISA renewal only applies to communications with foreign nationals.

Actually, as a person who objects to military assistance to Israel, I would have preferred that Israel not have provoked the Iranian response by committing war crimes in destroying a foreign diplomatic facility, murdering diplomats, and then expecting people to just turn the page when they conjured up another Israeli lie about the occupants of the diplomatic facility.

#stopIsraelsupport

And I would have preferred that Hamas didn't commit mass murder of 1200 civilians and kidnapping of 250 others on October 7. But we don't always get what we prefer.

+1000
Truly amazing that this has to be reiterated over and over.

To you and the PP:

What did 10/7 justify Israel to do in response, since you very clearly cannot get past 10/7 and believe Israel was an innocent bystander previously?

What did 10/7 justify as a response from Israel?

Ok since you believe 10/7 was just another day in a long war let the war continue without complaining.

I don’t take directions related to what I expect of my country from someone who doesn’t have U.S. interests first, second and last on their list of priorities.

If you support Hamas, you have Russian, Iranian, Chinese, and North Korean interests first, second, and last on your list of priorities. These are their allies.

The Arab world allied itself with the Soviet Union (and Nazi Germany before that) and explicitly against the US in the last century. Their values are reflected and reinforced by present-day totalitarian regimes.

AND, the people who informed the social media accounts that influenced your opinions are using you to divide and weaken American society. Those people came from... wait for it... Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea. Maybe Qatar, too.

Some US interests maven you are!

Shocker. Our public school system has done that for years.

Of course, that is going to end badly. Stupid move by USC too. And who has a graduation with no outside speakers? These high level administrators seem completely clueless and out of touch with their student bodies.

Those students need to get in class and obey their schools' leaders. If they don't like the rules, then go elsewhere.

LOL

Tell me you’ve never had a child go through the college admissions process without telling me you’ve never had a child go through the college admissions process

These terrorists have faces only a mother would love.

I have and they are the cream of the crop. That’s what gets you so enraged, they are not the unwashed masses.

Um... the unwashed masses are right here, screaming at police officers - spot your kids?

I would be very proud if these were my kids.

I'm picturing Nancy Pelosi's slow clap.

Everyone has the ability to videotape. They need to videotape these threats and file police reports.

You’ve got a bit of racism in you calling the protestors who are all religions by the way “terrorists”.

People would have supported giving help to Israel but when they crossed the line into being the aggressor that’s when they lose support. Americans are not comfortable seeing pictures of starving children, children with limbs torn off from American bombs. How is America still giving them aid? The country is not being attacked, they are the attackers. And the extremists Jews are rushing to grab land and are attacking and killing Palestinians.

I never thought America would send bombs and weapons to a country attacking civilians. 34,000 killed. 14,000 children dead, children who are not part of Hamas and Israel knows it. And more deaths are in the near future from starvation. That’s a painful way to die.
