EVERY Six Months Jolie reiterates accusations against Pitt

Ok I've been struggling to understand the relevance of the NDA issue and came across this on another site. If accurate, it's helpful context:

"It’s a specific legal fact: he’s claiming that her balking at signing an NDA was a pretext to get out of the “contract” they had to give each other the first option to buy. She’s saying that it wasn’t “an” NDA that was at issue, but “the” NDA he asked her to sign, eg it was more restrictive. The judge is going to compare the language in the NDAs she used vs the NDA he asked to sign. If substantially the same, the judge can find pretext, and hence, a breach in the contract, which would give him damages."

I suspect this is what will happen, but we'll see. I agree with PP her covert sale was probably about the custody decision rather than the NDA, but the judge should be able to make that determination by evaluating the NDA the context of a range of other NDAs. Will be interesting to see how this goes.

Also her legal team's immediate response was to say that Pitt's abuse is now subject to discovery. But since she didn't sign an NDA, can't she shout it from the rooftops if she likes?

She and her legal team are pathetic. The lawsuit is about a contract dispute. Yet they are attempting to turn the case into a sideshow about her never-ending claims of abuse.

I don’t see how her supposedly disliking the NDA he asked her to sign would get her out of the implied contract she had with him. I don’t see what was so objectionable about the NDA. All it said was that no one involved in the sale could publicly denigrate the business, Jolie, Pitt or Perrin. He was binding himself not to denigrate her in public as well. If she still wanted to litigate her abuse claims, she could have continued to do so in family court or through another legal process. Her lawyer also supposedly proposed a more restrictive NDA in their divorce settlement than he did for the Miraval sale.

It’s obvious Jolie and her lawyers are using the abuse claims as misdirection. They are trying to mislead the judge and public. She’s also using these allegations as a threat against Brad, i.e. if you take this case to trial, I will use the trial as a sideshow to continue my campaign to destroy your reputation. She is so predictable. Anytime anything doesn’t go her way, she pivots to further embellishing her allegations.

I've been torn up until now because I really don't want to boost an abusive drunk, but I'm now leaning this way.

Same here. He's no prize, but she's really vengeful and abusive. Unfortunately her mother modeled similar black and white thinking and destructive behavior.

I’m sure celebs talk among themselves. There’s a reason HW doesn’t like her and she’s now producing on Broadway.

Shes producing a broadway play her daughter. Brad also produced a play this season. That means pretty nothing.

From what I understand the judge isn't looking at just the contract but the circumstances behind her decisioning. Yes she can freely talk about it, but now they can force Brad to talk about in a oral or written deposition and give communications about it.

It's called procedural unconscionability. It includes the NDA's writing and the bargain processing. The dispute happened in the first because of the abuse and custody issues. That will all be taken into consideration. You have to be careful when negotiating. Admiting that he was angry based on the custody was wrong move.

I think she will forever be angry at him for leaving her w/six kids after she invested so much in him.

She is still attractive yet nowhere near the beauty she once was when they met over 20+ yrs ago.
Now she has six children she is responsible for and I assume it cannot be very easy finding a good man now.

So she resents Brad.
He still looks great, sexy still & has moved on w/a younger, prettier woman.
His career is doing well and he seems to have fully moved on from Angie.

Angie, meanwhile is now a bitter, divorced single aging movie star.
So she wants to sabotage Brad’s career/life any way she sees fit.

I personally think karma is at play.
Angie knew she was younger and more beautiful than his wife at the time, Jennifer Aniston and that she could get Brad to leave her which he did.
She stuck her claws into him and disregarded that Brad was already spoken for.

A perfect illustration of how karma operates…

Interesting revisionist viewpoint.

Do you mean she was angry? Obviously she can't admit that, that's why the NDA is so important. If it can be established that was a pretext for walking away from the deal, that's important.

Or.... she is worried that he might hit their kids... again, that is a drunk and a pothead, and even if he claims he is clean, he might not be.
What would a regular, non-full mom do? Would you try to stop your violent druggie ex from abusing the kids?
The level of women's hate here is applying. You all must love narc Johnny.

Didn’t she used to cut herself? She really transformed herself through PR and looking elegant on the red carpet but I remember the early years with her gritty first husband and her wearing a necklace with blood in it.

That’s all to say that I think she has mental issues.

I can’t speak to Brad. Maybe he does too.

At least two of her kids are far, far away from LA attending college. The oldest may be done by now.

One is at Spellman.

Brad left his wife and cheated. So he is a cheater and gets to have a good career, and Jolie should be punished??

Brad was a big boy when he cheated, and Jolie does not have claws. He could have refused to cheat on his wife.

Your post is misogynist—and I am not a Jolie fan.
