U.S. Annual Inflation rose to 6.8% in November - the highest in 40 years

So ummm things are so bad we're using corn fuel now? In that case I reserve the right to change my new inflation guess to 8.7%.

U.S. President Joe Biden will today unveil plans to extend the availability of higher biofuels-blended gasoline during summer to curb soaring fuel costs and to cut reliance on foreign energy sources, senior administration officials said.

The move will allow Americans to keep buying E15, a gasoline that uses a 15 per cent ethanol blend, from June 1 to Sept. 15, in an attempt to help lower fuel expenses.

'Those savings can add up, especially during the summer months,' a senior administration official said.

And, continuing to blame Putin. We know the truth.

I'm going with 8.2%. Psaki already preemptively moved and try to state it was a 'Putin price increase' (lol, what a joke). That must mean it is bad.

Well, its 7.9% now and we're USED to .3 increases (sad to say that). The White House is really scared.

So I'm going with 8.4 - 8.55%. Final answer.

Wow, I was right on the money.

Thank you. I’ll take my salary as a lifetime exemption from taxes.

Next round of inflation drops in about 13 days! What are our thoughts? 8.6%?

Inflation numbers on Monday! I’m so ready to hear it’s 9.2% but it’s all fine.

CPI really isn't the focus anymore. The thing to track are wages, the gap between job openings and job seekers, PPI, and productivity. It's increasingly becoming clear that inflation is being driven by cost push inflation. Last round of employment cost index went up by the greatest amount in history. The labor market is too tight/hot and wages are going up too fast. It will take a while before cost-push inflation shows up in the CPI, so I wouldn't celebrate yet if CPi is down or flat.

We have had literal imbeciles governing us for the past 20 years so this is on us. You vote for trump, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of these morons then don’t complain. Good lord we are a country of morons.

Wow it only took six months after the CTC died off to see a decrease /s

The slight easing in April could be reversed in May as gas prices have edged higher this month.

Oh - so you mean a permanent gas holiday over the summer might not have been such a bad idea after all?

We've been telling you this for almost a year now. Welcome to wake up land.

Its not just knowing the right questions to ask. I bet Porter didn't care about the skyrocketing costs of inflation, in part pushed by the CTC, when she was getting $900 a month for her three kids.
