Where can I find a swim suit for a 12 y.o.dd?

Lands End was my first guess, but apparently they are all "Mom Suits." Any suggestions?

When my DD was 12 she found stuff at REI and Sports Basement. She wanted a one-piece Speedo.

Costco.

She's right. They are mom suits.

Athleta and Title 9 if she's ready for womens suits. REI is a great idea if she's looking for laps.

Target has SUPER cute ones & in all styles (bikinis, Rankin is, one piece, rash guard, etc).

My daughter likes to be stylish & trendy and we've been getting her suits here for the past 3 summers.

Here are just a few that are very stylish, cute & age appropriate.

Ssorry, I forgot to mention that my daughter is also 12 & LOVES the ones with the flounce on top! It's a bikini, but gives a little more coverage & doesn't show cleavage (she's already developing).

Btw, don't mind the really young looking model half way down the page, these really are perfect for 10/12 year olds & they look even cuter on!

* these are just the bikinis, they have even more of a selection of one piece, tankinis & rash guard's.

My 12-year old DD likes the Breaking Waves line of swimsuits at Macy's.

I'm another vote for the great Target swimsuits!!

- My DD happens to love those one-shouldered suits (why, I have no idea - they leave a strange tan line if you ask me, but she adores them so I relent, lol).

- I have another DD who will only wear tankinis.
She's 10 & a little bit of a Tomcat. She's definitely not a Tomboy, but she's sporty AND girly (ie; Tomcat).
So she isn't exactly ready to go full on bikini yet, but doesn't want to wear a one-piece like the younger girls do anymore.
They also have a ton of rash-guards & cover-ups, so she uses the rash guards to switch things up.

Go in and try some on, your daughter will quickmy find out which styles work for her (bonus - I love that they have the huge dressing rooms & are open until 11pm... nothing worse than trying on swimsuits with a cranky tween in a super enclosed environment!)

How can anyone answer this. 12yo's range in size from broomsticks to full figured curvy women. The 12yo next door is 130 5'6" and D's

Definitely Athleta. They have xxs in the women's section, and their girls line has relatively mature pieces

Online. Speedo, tyr, arena, uglies, etc.

I also have to agree with Target, it's our go to.
They have a varying size range from slim/petite to plus size in teen swim, they also have a very big selection of styles and their suits aren't going to break the bank, so you can get 5 or 6 for less than $100 and they'll last a few seasons. They may be affordable, but they aren't cheaply made.

Amen to that! Target has the biggest dressing rooms (thank God!).

my daughter is 10, and I found that a women's suit (size 6, i think. Or 4.) fit her better than girls' size 16. She is tall for her age, and slender, and girls suits just looked wide in the belly (she wanted a one-piece. So if the fit is weird in the girls sizes, consider trying a women's size.
