We loved Targets selection!
We went in there last night (thanks to this thread, as I never would have thought about going to Target for swimsuits!). They had a huge selection of styles, patterns & sizes! My DD took 10 suits into the dressing room & she loved them all on (she was very unhappy that I made her narrow it down to 6). All in all, it was a very successful shopping night, gone swimsuits, got some groceries & one major point of stress for my DD is now gone! Thanks to all who recommends Target! |

DD got hers at modcloth this year. It's cute and modest, which she loves. She found one she really liked at aerie, but it wasn't really for active swimming, and it showed too much. We didn't realize how little coverage it had until it was on.
We've gotten swimsuits at target in the past and have been been pleased with them. |
I doubt a size 12 swimsuit would fit most 12 yo girls. |
| Just got back from Target (thanks to this thread). 11 year old was very happy with styles and they have a buy one, get one 50% off through tomorrow that is online too. Some size selections were not great, but we walked out with 3 adorable swimsuits that looked great on her! Highly recommend. |
| Thanks for the thread, I have a very tall 11 yo and we have found nothing so far this season, will be headed to the SuperTarget tomorrow. |
| wow, people buy three (or six!) swim suits for one kid? I guess I'm more frugal than I thought! Our kids have one (that fits) at any given time. |
Well, aren't you special?

| Oh my god. Take her to a store. Every clothing store has bathing suits out right now. Go shopping with her. Go to a mall. Go in a few stores. She tries on bathing suits. Buy what you both agree on. |
Yessnd thrn when they leave it somewhere, a hole develops on the butt of it splits open when your kid goes off the diving board one day then your kid is naked and the store is out of suits in their size until next season. |
Gosh, I have boys and even they have at least 3 swimsuits at any given time that fit. We go to the pool at least 5 days/week from opening day through July and then spend at least a week at the beach in August (in addition to other shorter trips during the summer on which they take their suits). It's nice to not have to worry about making sure their one suit is available. |
