Why does Pippa in sunglasses look so much like a Weekend At Bernie's Kate?

Maybe. If they had simply posted it on their Instagram, which most of us don’t follow, a few people would have thought it was cute, maybe noticed some oddities, and would have been satisfied to leave it at that until after Easter. The problem was releasing it as “news”. And maybe the bigger problem is the combination of arrogance and stupidity behind releasing it as “news”. And the even stickier problem is that they’re attracting a LOT of attention for the wrong reasons without reassuring anybody who might be genuinely concerned about Kate’s well-being.

This is inaccurate. They released the photo on Instagram and Twitter.

I think they both released it on instagram and twitter and issued it to news agencies.

That doesn't appear to be the case. Rather, it seems news outlets picked up on the update from Kensington Palace's social media accounts, and then requested further info/clarification from KP:

"(CNN) -- The first official photograph of Catherine, Princess of Wales, since she underwent abdominal surgery in January has been released by her and her husband, William, Prince of Wales. Kate is seen seated outside, surrounded by her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, in the photo credited to the Prince of Wales. “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day,” a post on their official Instagram account said alongside the photo. The message was signed off by “C”. Sunday marks Mother’s Day in the UK. The photo was taken earlier this week in Windsor, Kensington Palace told CNN."

The man from the AP ranting about the photo said "The AP's trust in handout pictures has been compromised," so I assume they released it as a handout picture in addition to posting it on their socials.

No, I think you’re wrong. This reads like the text of a press release that came with the photo. Also the last sentence is crucial because it really does seem like they straight lied.

Did we talk about the Spanish nightclub pictures?

From a person that runs in those circles--married to a count--(not me a family friend), Kate does have a colostomy bag and it is known that William is a wife beater/domestic violence.

From Twitter:

Spanish tea today says there was a compromising pic taken in a nightclub of the two which the Sun was going to publish. Instead Harry was served up and the Sun went with that instead. Today I also heard the Spanish say the separation has been well over a year.

The word was a divorce was imminent and would be announced in the new year. Bets were the Tindalls or the Wales. Rumour was she self harmed after being served at Christmas. The nightclub pictures do exist I heard about them before and suspected Rose was the woman involved. I'm starting to think that surgery didn't take place. Her medical issues are from the self harming. I'd say the original story was the correct one. Usually is.

It looked very likely they were no longer living together for a while now. The kids were with Kate too. I hope they are with their mum, all safe, away from William.

Which fits with Harry's description of being scared of William's anger--and physical assaults.

That guy. Not sure if he realizes how he came across. Maybe he always sounds like that? But he came across like a loon.

I am not sure if it was only posted on their social media or if it was sent to news agencies. Also not sure whether Kate actually issued that apology or not but I thought it was well done to apologize promptly and to take ownership of the mistake rather than blame underlings, the way many on this thread would have preferred.

Whether KP has lost trust going forward remains to be seen. If they are stricter with their photographs (and/or their explanations) going forward, then I think a one-time mistake will be taken as a learning experience. By the public and by the press. I could be wrong, and this is something that we'll find out as time goes on.

It also fits on why she doesn't want the public to know her condition and wants privacy---as well as a doctored photo. The steroids used for conditions causing this also cause a 'moon/puffy' face.

They lived well beyond their means and now they have no money to pay back their business debt. Apparently it’s not a good look for creditors to be chasing the future Queen’s parents and someone actually put up posters of them owing a lot of debt in their hometown. I never liked her mom. She seems to be such a gold digger. I wonder if she forced both her daughters to marry up and didn’t really care if they were truly happy or not.

I mean, surely William could settle their debt if that were the case. They have millions/billions. It wouldn’t matter to him.

This. When you are pretty much given 100s of millions just for the family you are born into, surely you can spare several million to shut that all down.

They sold the business and the new owners assumed the debt. The posters were the related to the new owners being mad about the deal and how the Middletons may have been dishonest. Right now they don’t have any of that business debt. Personal debt, maybe.

Really? Most of what I read at the time specifically said that the buyer did NOT take on the debt. Admittedly this is from entertainment press not business publications.

Neither of these would be worth the trouble of posting false photos when her fashion and the children’s is so heavily tracked. There is no doubt she is fully aware people would know immediately those items and which stores they could be purchased from. Editing the colors was never worth the embarrassment of a public apology .

With the colostomy bag, there has never been mention of an additional surgery that she would need to have it removed, but a recovery by Easter time frame. It doesn’t line up imho unless she’s to wear it forever which would then still not make complete sense to avoid the photo with the kids for Mother’s Day. She could’ve been lying in bed with them sitting around her, sheets covering her body and waist. Or she could be seen taking a photo of them as they played in the yard with her side not shown.

Wow at this Daily Mail article today about Williams bad temper. The article is mostly about Camilla telling her friends how awful William was as a teen to his dad but which teen isn’t awful at times?

Is the palace trying to tell us something? Why this article now in the Daily Mail (editor Richard Eden is friends with Kates brother by the way)?
