so f'd up this guy was hired since the Sup has been on the job, time for him to pack his bags and leave.

Yet again, no notice to parents.

How do you know? Do you have a child at Col. E. Brooke Lee Middle School?

I don't have one at Rockville or Richard Montgomery and one went out. Your point?

Thanks for posting OP. Had not seen this and don't expect to hear anything from MCPS.

Seriously, can MCPS at least admit that there are some issues here?

Terrible

Do you think this can only happen at that one school? Pretty apparent that this is an epidemic in MCPS.

Do you want an announcement of every incident that occurs at any one of the 200+ schools in MCPS? I infer from DCUM that there are people who do. I don't.

DP

Well, yes, actually I would like that. It happens a lot. Can we agree that it is reasonable that parents know about it? The police are looking for more victims. It could be that this man has worked at other schools.

Where is the other thread about MCPS being a great place to work?? One more example of how it's a great place to work but maybe not so great for young girls to go to school here.

Yes, because often these teachers or school staff use their MCPS position to legitimize themselves and create other non-school contacts thru youth sports or activities.

The Rockville security guard sleeping with a 17 y.o. student who just violated a stay away order was also a long time coach for many teams in the area. All of those parents should know about his arrest sk they can consider if their children have been in contact with this guy.

MCPS needs to follow the principle of "radical transparency" when it comes to sexual assault or abuse in schools. Instead MCPS still strives to keep things as quiet as possible.

Dating a student? Is that not allowed?

+1

This, thank you.

Why would you NOT want to know? Do you prefer to keep your head buried in the sand about any bad thing that comes up?

I'm the PP who said that I don't want MCPS to e-mail me about every incident at any of the 200 MCPS schools. What would I do with this information?
