Does a Starbuck's Frappuccino have any caffeine or coffee?

Anonymous
I am a bit skeptical on whether I should buy this for DC, who is 12 turning 13. I don't want her drinking coffee, or something that has excess caffeine, but she's always asking me to buy her one. I want to buy it for her birthday, but I'm not sure.

By definition a frappuccino has coffee. You could ask for decaf, perhaps.

Except some flavors do not have coffee, like the strawberry one.

Depends on the flavor, OP. Check the link above - click each one and it will tell you how much caffeine as well as all the other ingredients.

They're basically a milkshake.

Why don't you ask next time you're at a Starbucks? That would make more sense than posting here.

But since you asked... the cream based frappucinos don't contain caffeine. The rest do. Again: ask the baristas.

The green tea one doesent have coffee either, it's made with matcha.

it doesn't have coffee?

Right there in the link you posted it says 'caffeine 0mg'

Some don't have coffee, but they all have A LOT of sugar.

It's the sugar that I would be more concerned about.

Addictive poison for most people.

Would it be a good drink for limited occasions, such as only on holidays or birthdays?

I think that's fine. Getting. It without whipped cream could help too.

Oh for the love of God, YES! Sugary drinks on occasion are not going to ruin a kid. Let her enjoy one if for no other reason than she can tell her friends she has. If she's been asking it's probably because she hears the other kids talking about them and she can't relate.
