| Max and Luke I like. Emmett and Miles I'm iffy on (very trendy). Malcolm I just don't like. He might be an adorable little kid, but I picture a kind of dorky, bow-tie wearing adult. sorry! |

| Not crazt about Malcom. Love Max, but seems rather popular, I think. LOVE the rest. Miles and Emmett aren't too common but are classic. Can't go wrong! |

Like all of them, but I disagree with PP: ALL of these names are getting trendy/common, including Miles and Emmett. Not saying that's an issue unless it bothers you.

i totally love the name Max. Also like Emmet a lot. Not a huge fan of Malcolm -- it sounds old man-like to me (although I had an older uncle w/ the name, so maybe that's why). Luke is ok. Like Miles pretty well.
As far as trendy, J Lo and Christina Aguilera both named their sons Max ... so annoying b/c I really love the name. |

I like all of them but Malcolm. I'd go with Emmett. Don't know if popularity is a concern for you, but if it is check out http://www.babynamewizard.com/voyager#prefix=&ms=false&sw=f&exact=false The site lets you type in any name and see how popular it is and has been for 100+ years. Plots it all on a cool little chart for you. Just FYI, there are two little boys named Max in my daycare and 4 variations on Luke in the two infant rooms (Luke, Lucas, etc.). |

| I like Miles and Luke. From what I've seen of the infant to preschool crowd that I run with these days, we have lots of Lukes and some Maxes. Haven't seen the other names at all. |

| I like all of them, nice choices! Don't pick a name you don't like just because it's uncommon. Men/boys aren't as bothered by having popular names as women are. |

| Miles is in the mid 100s for popularity now, Emmett is still not that common, mid 500th most popular. Max is 126th, Luke is 43rd and Malcolm, which I like, is mid-500s as well. |

I hate Emmett. My sister's son is Emmett and I feel bad saying it, but it sounds trendy and affected. And... Isn't it one of the characters from Twilight? Too emo for me.
I like Luke. The others are so-so. |
