Thoughts on these boys names

I really like Miles, plus I know several babies named Max and Luke

Hmm, my friend's kid is Emmett and it's an old family name and I love it!

I have friends with every one of these names except Malcolm. I like Malcolm but sounds like I'm in the minority there.

I like Malcolm, am related to several, but then my family's Scottish.

Another Malcolm fan here! I like all of them except Emmet

Max or Luke. Miles ok too.

We just named our son (3 weeks old) Miles, so we obviously like that name (although he was also named after his father and grandfather).

Max is very trendy. And it sounds like a dog's name.

Agree with PP that Emmet sounds affected - striving for WASPiness, like Morgan or Tyler. Love Miles and Luke. Malcolm is a British/Scottish name - wouldn't go with that unless I had some UK family connection.

We named our son Miles, too -- 4 weeks old. I love it, and don't much care whether it's becoming popular.

i had a dog name Malcom.

Max is the #1 dog name in the US. http://www.geocities.com/dog_names/most_popular_dog_names.html

I like Luke, Malcolm and Max the best from your list. I know 3 different couples with pets named Lily, doesn't mean it's an animal's name moreso than a girl's name.

I have to disagree with some of the PPs, I love Emmett (was one of my top choices, and the name we actually went with is pretty close). But all of these names are nice, Max is very popular, but then again, it's also a good name.

Luke is the most classic. I'd stick with that one. (But I have to admit that Max is the only other name listed that I come close to liking. Different taste.)

All good names. Max, Luke, and to an extent Miles are really popular though.
