I think I will have enough time to watch a whole movie by myself tonight. I have a pretty low tolerance for violence, slap stick or gross humor, and trauma/sadness. I would like to be entertained. If it isn't a kids movie produced in the last 3-4 years I probably haven't seen it. I have Prime and Netflix but I will also pay!
TIA! |
| Sully is on now and I thought it was pretty compelling for a story where you know the ending. It was very uplifting and held my interest till the end. |
| Concussion is really good. |
| Hidden Figures was good. Sully stressed me out but I don't like to fly. |
| "The accountant" had some violence but I thought it was really good. |
| 20th Century Women |
| Fantastic beasts? |
| Manchester by the sea |
Do NOT watch this, OP. It's sad from beginning to end. |
Hopefully this was a joke. OP said she has a low tolerance for sadness. This movie isn't just sad, it's outright depressing (albeit excellent). |
| I loved Arrival with Amy Adams. There's sadness, but the story manages to make it uplifting. |
| OP here, thanks for the suggestions! And the whole reason I posted this was because Manchester By the Sea popped up on Prime and I googled it. Nope! Though I am sure it is a lovely film. |
| Hidden Figures or LaLa Land |
|
The Birdcage
Love Actually |
I loved Arrival, too, but I think it's pretty sad. Probably too late for OP, but some suggestions anyway: Becoming Jane Beyond the Lights Hidden Figures The Young Victoria Brooklyn Begin Again |
