What entertaining but not too intense movie should I watch tonight?

I have similar feelings about movies and I really liked Captain fantastic. The previews make it look a little depressing, but it is one of Those.sweet and somehow uplifting sad Movies.

I really liked Sully but I LOVED Hidden Figures. What a great movie!

We watched Guardians of the Galaxy so we could get caught up and watch the sequel.....it was good but not as great as everybody said.

I loved Arrival, too, but I think it's pretty sad.

Probably too late for OP, but some suggestions anyway:

Becoming Jane
Beyond the Lights
Hidden Figures
The Young Victoria
Brooklyn
Begin Again

OP again, not too late as movie was thwarted by waking-up-kid! I'm making a list of all the suggestions because I just don't do "intense" movies anymore. Too much real life intense.

OP, I'm like you. I have a newborn and toddler and I can't watch much of anything these days. I do not have anxiety or depression but any sort of strong emotional movies really hit me hard. Especially with children. Forget it!

Tropic thunder is on Netflix. Watched it for the first time and thought it was hilarious.
