Women: What to wear on a first date?

Anonymous
Especially if you're trying to impress the guy. I admit my style is very plain Jane and boring and I know that's a turn off for a lot of men. What can I wear that will get a man's attention?

You already got the date, so you already HAVE his attention. Wear confidence, open-ness, and humor.

All of this. I usually wear dresses on dates because I usually wear dresses. Wear something you feel good and look good in

heels. men hate flats.

Most importantly, what kind of date is it? Are we talking coffee at Starbucks, formal dinner, picnic?

Sexy Jeans, Cute top, heels, fresh face, beautiful hair, stylish jewelry, subtle perfume. Be you. Always.

I wore flats and still got the man. Heels aren't me. I don't wear them in everyday life, ever. So I'm not going to wear something I'd never wear otherwise. Take me as I am, or bye.

I am a guy. Wear a smile. Nothing else (jk). Smile is serious.

Wrong it is all how you pull it off. Some woman wear ugly ass heels that they can't walk in, or uncomfortable ones that eliminate the long romantic post dinner walk.

Flats on average weight petite look good with well fitting clothes, or on tall lengthy woman with nice pants.

No, men do not hate flats, and by saying so means flats is a turnoff, which by far is not one. If I expect a date that requires a lot of walking or physical activity, heels on the other hand would be a turnoff. If I expect a date that requires a lot of sitting and talking, flats would not be a turnoff.

OP here, that's always been my motto, but that seems to work against me so I'm trying something new.

Presumably they have already seen a pic of you so if it's not working out it's not because of your looks and how you are dressed. Use common sense.

It depends on where you are going. Regardless, wear something you feel really good in. First dates require projecting a level of confidence so wear something you feel confident in. I was never one to dress sexy as it wasn't my style but I did wear sexy undies even though on a first date they would never be seen.

Well, then, I don't think it's your shoes.

Actually I've had exes tell me they thought my looks and style was too plain.
