Non-Cheater now cheats

Anonymous
She used to be vehemently against cheating, it's something she'd never do but now my sister is cheating on her husband. A total 180! I'm flabbergasted. Truly. I can't understand what happened. Shows you that anything can happen. Have you known someone who you never suspected of being a cheater to start cheating?

I'm staying out of it but I'm just floored.

All cheaters used to be non-cheaters at some point.

Yes, me.

Yes. Two women who couldn't be more different. Very surprising when I found out about their affairs.

Their reasons were pretty much classic for why women cheat. Including the reason for not getting divorced instead.

Classic reasons are ???

I had a similar reaction when i learned that my best friend has cheated a few times. However, in looking at her relationship, i can see why she's gone down that path. She did not have full blown affairs though. She has no intention of leaving her husband and having to share custody of the kids, but I would be shocked if she stuck around after the youngest hits college.

No. All my girlfriends that cheated were classic girls that would cheat.

they were either bipolar, had anxieties through the roof, had self esteem issues, depression, always looked to men for validation, fathers left them at an early age,

They may have viewed themselves as somebody that would never cheat but the writing was on the wall.

NP but I'm going to guess: taken for granted at home, but they like the money their husbands make.

Classic reasons are: bored with provider husband and routine sex, got some attention from a more alpha male

Im a PP whose BF cheats. She makes more money than her husband. Always has and money ans division of domestic duties are their strong suit.

Her DH has an explosive temper. With her and the kids. He's always screaming. He doesn't save it for behind closed doors, he's done it in front of my family all the time. He comes from a horribly dysfunctional family. He needs thearapy and probably medication. However, he doesn't "believe in seeing psychologists" and thinks his behaviour is normal, because apparently that was normal for his family. She's begged for years for him to see somebody and it falls on deaf ears. Shes absolutely sick of it and as she puts it, counting down the days.

She does not feel close to him and she says hes temper and anger has corroded her love for him.

People are as loyal as their options. I'm sure your sister meant every word she said about not cheating. That's until she met a guy she was extremely attracted to that wasn't her husband and he equally wanted to be with her.

You clearly are not a woman and have not even the faintest clue of what would drive a woman to cheat.

Actually, I am a woman, and I was wondering what others thought "classic" reasons were. To see if they aligned with what I thought.
