Domestic adoption through agencies in other states

Anonymous
Has anyone had luck with using an out of state agency for domestic adoption ? We are in VA and I don't want to expand our search to some other states that have a higher percentage of Filipino and Hispanic.

I found quite a bit of information about adoption http://tinyurl.com/nxhjxlv online that was useful when we were searching a few years back. You might be able to find some answers there. I hope this helps and you find exactly what you are looking for. I will be praying for you as you go through the adoption process. Good luck!

We just adopted through an agency in Utah. Once we got through the requirements for the agency, above what is required for the home study , it happened quickly. Once we got into the matching proces. Entered matching in November, matched in January p, baby born in late March and we flew home in early April. He is healthy and beautiful..

Are you serious? You wouldn't adopt a Hispanic of Filipino baby? WTF?

Sorry! I am the OP and it should have said I want to expand our search. We want to adopt a Filipino or Hispanic baby! My husband is Filipino and we have a Filipino/Caucasian son.

Hispanic is more realistic. It would be very had to find a Filipino child.

I have friends who are Filipino and went to the Philippines to adopt their kids. Even so, it was difficult.

For Hispanic, go to Florida or Texas. It's been six years since we adopted, but we have friends who adopted from Gladney. They are pricey but have a good rep (or used to).
