| Please do not use a act of love! They have a horrible track record! Really they are one of the worst out there. |
| thank you. I can't get past the name and I ruled them out base on that. |
Well that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. |
Even though OP clarified, your post made me curious. Have YOU adopted an Hispanic or Filipino baby, PP? |
What a very sheltered and charmed life you must lead then. |
| Well I felt that their name was not just grammatically incorrect but that they did it intentionally to be listed first in directory, phone book, etc... |
It's sheltered and charmed to rule out something based on the name alone? THAT is the mark of a simpleton. I'm not arguing with the questionable ethics of the agency. I know a lot about them. Through research. Their name has nothing to do with it. |
And she digs herself deeper. |
Not the pp - I have personal experience with this agency and have spoken to the owner regarding the name. It is in fact a deliberate choice so that they are listed first alphabetically. At the time of their inception ads and listings in phone books were still the main ways expectant mothers found adoption agencies. |
| Yes I guess I found that deceitful but maybe that was wrong and just a way for women to find them easier. |
| I'd say it's just the beginning of the deceitful things they do. |
|
If you're still around OP, look at the different state laws and see what you're comfortable with: https://www.childwelfare.gov/topics/systemwide/laws-policies/adoption/
We are focused on Florida right now. We decided we aren't comfortable with the way Utah does things. |
