Lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks?

Anonymous
Is it possible, in a healthy way, to lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks? If so, how? I am already working out (a little) and eating decent.

What's your current height/weight?
Do you only want to shed 10#?

OP here. I am 5ft 1 and 130 lbs. Yes, only 10 lbs. I would be fine with 5 but I can't seem to lose anything no matter what I do. Just to point out, I am very flat chested so it is not breast weight. I am also hippy but not completely bottom heavy. I had 4 kids and would like to get back down to my ideal weight

I couldn't. I'm thin and it would put my BMI into the unhealthy range. Can people who weigh 350 lbs? Absolutely.

Why do you "need" to do this in two weeks? No, I don't think it would be healthy for you to lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks. It would be primarily water weight anyway. Like anything, weight loss takes consistent effort, especially those last few lbs.

OP here. I appreciate the honesty. I wanted to get beach ready. I just can't shake these last 10 lbs or even 5.

I'm 44, 5'3, 143. Unless I limit myself to around 1000 calories a day, I can't lose weight. 1000 calories is not a sustainable food intake for me. I joined OTF. The weight is the same but I am more toned now.

"Working out a little and eating decent?"
Come on OP. There is no magic bullet. You have to put the work in. You didn't gain 10 pounds in 2 weeks and certainly aren't going to lose it in 2 weeks.

Instead:
Get a nice swimsuit that you can feel comfortable in today.
Make a plan to work-out for 4 days a week. By working out, you should be working out at a level where you would struggle to have a conversation for 30 minutes.
Get an app to track your food. Many people here like MyFitnessPal. Log every.single.bite. Weigh and measure your food so you know exactly what's going in. Saying that you're "eating decent" isn't going to cut it. Once you log your food, you'll have a more realistic idea of what's really going in your mouth and where you might cut back.

Good luck. You can do this. Not in 2 weeks, but definitely in 2 months. That's doable.

What has been working really well for me:

I have been doing an intermittent fasting schedule. I only eat between the hours of 12 noon and 8pm. I am not sure that that alone has been what has made things finally work, but it has made it much easier to stick to my calorie intake for the day.

For watching my calories- I do between 1200 and 1300 calories a day. I have been using My Fitness Pal to track and have been trying to increase my Proteins/good fats and reduce my carbs/sugars.

Cut out all carbs and sugars. You should be able to get at least a few pounds out of that at least.

Same here. Lost a few but am more toned. For the amount of work I do at OTF I would think I would have lost more! I won't give up the wine though.

This. Especially the weigh and log everything you eat.

Good luck OP! I'm struggling too. What's really made the difference for me is a fitness buddy. We hold each other accountable, work out together one day a week, and talk about our challenges. It's also made the whole process much more fun.

Losing 10lbs in two weeks and keeping those lbs off for an extended period are different things.

Yes, totally.
If you go full Atkins induction, you can easily do 10 pounds in two weeks in a healthy way.
