| Do the mailingns get sent from the base school like the cogat results? Are we at the whim of when thy stuff the envelopes? Or does everyone find out from the central ossicle at the same time? |
| In years past, I believe it was sent by the individual schools, so some people got them before others. |
Oh man! I wish everyone found out at the same time! |
| Has anyone ever asked the AART whether their child is in or not? We're going out of town for spring break and I was hoping to not have to wait an extra week. Do you think the school might know by Friday and tell me? |
We are going away too. Let me know what you find out. I hadn't thought it would be possible to find out aside from the letter in the mail but I'm interested to hear what you find out! |
According to the published timeline, schools are to be notified at the end of this week (4/6-4/7). Best to check with the AART at your school, though. |
| Will letters be sent to parents of all kids who were in the pool whether they qualified or not? |
The "in pool" letter says we will be notified of the selection committee's decision by mail. |
Yes, letters will be sent to all kids who were screened (in pool or parent referred) whether or not they qualify. Those who aren't found eligible will get information about the appeals process, including the deadline for appealing. |
| The letters come from the central office, not the individual schools. |
Thank you! |
| The letters will be sent out from the AAP office (meaning NOT from the school) on April 7th to all who were screened. All letters will go out at the same time from the central office. And yes, the base schools have the list. And no, you cannot find out before the mailing. |
Last year, our school notified us before we received the letter in the mail. |
You're the one whose principal showed up on the doorstep with a rose? |
Sheesh! |
