What is the *most* luxurious (obviously it's in a manner of speaking - but as close to the definition as possible that's still kid accessible) all inclusive resort your family has stayed for a 3-6 night vacation over winter break? (No Cruises please - a resort on land )
Prefer a location that is within a 6 hour (NS preferred) flight from DCA/IAD. Our kids are 5 and 7. Looking for a December 2017 resort but open to any suggestions for Spring Break 2018/Dec 2018. Thank you! |
| If you want luxury I would look into resorts where the kids club is included but the food/alcohol is additional. Like the various Ritz's in the Caribbean or Rosewood Mayakoba, etc. |
| Not all-inclusive, but Four Seasons includes many guest perks. |
| this question is asked all the time. just do a search |
| Love Rosewood Mayakoba as well. Any Four Seasons will do, though not all-inclusive (why does it need to be?). I've heard Rosewood Little Dix Bay is incredible - on my list. |
Is that open now??? |
No. Scheduled for Dec 2017. Its on my list for my 50th at New Years. |
| Dreams resorts. Not luxurious per se, but luxurious for a place with kids running around. It has a kids club and is all inclusive. |
Another vote for Rosewood Mayakoba. Four Seasons Orlando has an incredible pool and Orlando has a ton of kid attractions. Disney is the obvious big one but you don't have to go to Disney. We stayed there and did not use the kids club but they have one and I believe it is included. Beaches Turks and Caicos is probably the best all inclusive geared towards kids. I personally wasn't impressed with it but it was fine. We just had our third child and may go again. I would not consider it luxurious. My friends have raved about Grand Veles. It is right next to Mayakoba. It is all inclusive with kids club. My friend is a food snob and she said the foot was good there. |

The Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach. Superb. You'll never want to leave. Kids club, beautiful beach and pool, and the most outstanding spa experience I have ever been too. If I could die and be born again as a local coqui living on the grounds of The Ritz Carlton Dorado, I'd be the happiest creature on the planet.
Also Four Seasons Nevis was outstanding. Great kids club, beautiful luxurious grounds, spa not as luxurious as Dorado. And the beach not as nice, but really worth it. |
+1 The Rtz Carlton Dorado beach in Puerto Rico! The spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! |
| Beaches Turks |
Can't wait. It was pretty awesome before the renovation so I can't wait to see it when it's done. |
| +1 for Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach. |

How is Ritz San Juan?
Also is Mayakoba full of bugs? Any experience with Fairmont there? |
