the most "luxurious" all inclusive with a kids club?

Also is Mayakoba full of bugs? Any experience with Fairmont there?

Mayakoba is not full of bugs -- what do you mean? We have stayed at both the Rosewood and the Fairmont in the complex. What do you want to know? Rosewood is world class - service and accommodation. Fairmont is beautiful as well and very nice/good value -- more children.

Ritz Dorado Beach is amazing, luxurious-top of the line food, accommodations, beach, spa. However, if you have little kids and are looking for the activities of a Dreams type location, this is not you spot. It is not loud nor the type of place where you kid leaves you for activities for a while. I love Dorada but it might not be be the family type for everyone.

I meant mosquitos mostly. It seems like it is in a very tropical area. Thinking of going over the summer and worried about getting tons of bug bites.

They spray heavily. I would be more worried about that than any bug bites.

Don't worry about either. We just got back with our group of a 2yo, 3yo, 4yo and 7yo --- it was heavenly. Only 1 or 2 mosquito bites amongst us in 6 days.

Not a true all-inclusive, but Fairmont Southampton (the one with a private beach) in Bermuda is great and a short flight away.

I love Bermuda but the Fairmont is not luxurious. Love the private beach but the rooms and common areas really need a facelift. The Rosewood in Bermuda is true luxury though.

We went last February and there were no bugs.

We stayed at Fairmont Mayakoba with optional AI package. It was great! Awesome service and higher quality food and drinks than you would get at a typical AI. Our kids had a blast.

I didn't find the kids clubs at the Rosewood or Fairmont amazing in and of themselves -- but my 4yo and a 6yo in our group likes their classes --- they offered a cooking class and another scavenger type outing. They also would hang out on the water slide or beach for hours, then go to kids club to relax and watch a movie. One thing we did which worked out great was we hired a nanny "manny" --- he was a really fun young 20-something babysitter who would take our active boys in the pool, sand digging, to the kids club etc -- we would be "around" but could relax.

The Dreams properties vary quite a bit. We recently returned from one with our kids. We liked it and would go back, but I would call it nice but not luxorious (obviously relatively speaking). Based on the way OP phrased the request, I doubt that is what he/she had in mind.

How did you find him? Through the hotel?

Yes and he was wonderful. We tried a female as well who was very nice but was in full uniform garb -- not exactly practical for playing on the beach or in the water.

Thanks! Our kids are very active and this might be a better solution - at least for a day or two - so my DH and I can relax a little.
