See former boys and girls club-- may be an option for Breakthrough and any other charter (new or existing not locked into a current lease)

They were just kidding about the disadvantaged thing. Really, They seem to have hit their true target demographic where they are.

Winston would be great for Breakthrough as it's not too large.

Interesting the disposing of 2 of the 3 school properties will happen through DME. This will be a windfall for some charter operator! Good luck.

Uhhh, 137,000 square feet is massive for an elementary school. That's the size of a school with 1,000 kids.

Uhhh, it's also the size of Potomac Lighthouse, the same site many on this board suggested for Lee and Breakthrough. It would be significantly cheaper than EOTR and the could co-locate if they wanted.

You are confusing land area with building square footage. The building square footage of 137,000 is very large and much bigger than any elementary school in DC- most are between 40-60,000 square feet of building space. If the school is in poor condition (likely)- it would be incredibly expensive to renovate- in the $40 million range, probably.

Where are you seeing this information? The land area is 35,000 square feet:

The building takes up about half the lot. It's 3 levels. 17,500 times 3 equals 52,500 square feet of building space.
