| Does anyone know where (or if) this info is available? I realize it's too early for 2017 numbers. 2016 is fine. |
| Many schools collect this information and provide it via Naviance/Family Connections. |
I've been to the Naviance web site but it looks like you can only access their information with some sort of subscription. Is that right or am I missing something? |
| You can look at it for your child's high school when they are in 10th grade or so. They go over it with the students at that point. You cannot look at other specific high schools, but if a school does not have the critical mass to show a scattergram, you can talk to your high school's career counselor and they can show you the combined scattergram for all of FCPS for that particular school. |

I've posted the G.C. Marshall HS data here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B8lf90n41MdFeDVvSGh6eHQ3Tm8?usp=sharing
If others will copy their data from Blackboard we can create a database. Find the data through Blackboard / choose Family Connection for Parents / Colleges / Acceptance History ...then I simply highlighted the data range and copied it and then pasted it into excel and it loaded into cells - these can then be transferred into another sheet in the file that's on Google Docs or you can post a separate file to that Google Drive (not sure about this approach - I'm still learning how to use the 'Cloud') |

| ^^ sorry! TJ class of 2016 |
Interesting. Unfortunately the data is incorrect. Just from my own family, there are 2 colleges that show no acceptances where my kids were accepted. |
|
Not FCPS, but I found some info for George Mason here:

If you don't have a kid in HS, then you can't access the data on Naviance. If you do have a kid, log into Blackboard and click on your child's name under Family Connection and then click on the "college" tab once you're there.
It's too much data to post if you want specific stats for each school. The list provided for Marshall tells you how many kids were accepted to each school over a period of years and how many of those kids opted to attend, but not how many applied or what their stats were. |
| 18:54 I can't vouch for the accuracy of the data (I just imported it from Blackboard as described). What years and which colleges did your students apply / accept? I'll add them in. |
| 18:54 one other thing - the data is limited to prevent identification of individuals, so schools where there were very few applications or acceptances are omitted - apologies for not noting this earlier. |

This is the OP. Thanks so much for the information. Unfortunately we don't have a child in HS yet, so can't access Naviance. We're evaluating a possible move within FCPS and I was looking for some additional data points to help with decision-making.
Does anyone know of other schools that post this info publicly (like Mason)? |
| Please chime in with other schools! This is very interesting info. |
