He was being a bit of a whiny baby about it, and complaining about something pretty minor, (not Toyota vs Tesla but more like Tesla with one radio station missing), and his attitude and obsessive nature was ruining the honeymoon vibe for his wife.

The “do you know who I am????” Rich white guy stance was very strong and unattractive.

Yes I don't understand at all why people think that it's white privilege to expect to receive what you pay for. If a rich white person buys a Tesla and they receive a Toyota, they're just supposed to say "Thank you" or else they're not kind to the "service class?" As a member of the "service class" I get paid to help people, so if that's classist, I'm out of a job, so please don't discourage white people from hiring people to help them. Please don't discourage anyone of any race, class, color, national origin, etc. from hiring people to help them.

LMAO that Shiv is good at what she does. Fail-sons are a dime a dozen on TV (and in life, Don Jr ands Hunter, anyone) but the fail-daughter is a less used trope and Succession has slowly revealed that Shiv sucks as badly as the rest.

The new wife really didn’t want to even ask what happened when they didn’t get the HoneyMoon Suite that was paid for. That escalated things and her telling her new spouse not to bother doing anything about it. Just take the $8k a week room not the $12k a week room you paid for….

Also, I am in the minority on Jennifer Coolidge's character, I cannot stand her. She's SO whiny and the dynamic with her and Belinda is painful. I've actually fast forwarded through a couple of her scenes.

I'm late to this show, but I have to say I completely agree. I love Jennifer Coolidge, but HATE this character. She is so unbelievably self-absorbed, needy, and whiny. I get that that's how her character is written, but it is painful to watch. She never once asks Belinda about herself, just expects her (Belinda) to drop everything and come running when she needs her. Ugh. And her interactions with the man staying next door - CRINGE.

I thought the Molly Shannon character was spot-on and it was nice to see her not overdo it. I love MS too, and was so glad to see her just play that role straight. Also love Connie Britton's character, even if she is completely absorbed in her work. Both she and Steve Zahn said some very true things and came across as so believable. I had no idea Steve Zahn was such a good actor.

Did anyone else notice that all the "bad" people were white, and all the "good" ones were POC? I thought that was very incredibly blatant and frankly, annoying.

Which characters on the show would you consider « good » other than maybe Belinda?

I saw this the opposite way. The bad people were the service people. College friend, hotel worker thief, lying worker hiding pregnancy, bad manager, spa manager scamming rich client into a bad investment. Rich people just living their lives.

DP. This is a very strange take. The staffer who hid her pregnancy wasn't portrayed as bad, at all. She was just trying to keep her job. The spa manager was a wonderful character and wasn't trying to "scam" the Jennifer Coolidge character at all! She was excited about the prospect of having her own spa, but hadn't even considered it until the JC character suggested it.

She hid a pregnancy to get a job. Can't do that. Went into labor and his it. There is no chance that the spa she described would work.

1) I see advice to MC women interviewing while pregnant to hide it.
2) What are working class pregnant people supposed to do? Welfare?

Thing is Armand did apologize. And there was nothing indicating that the cost was different. Each room had a different amenity, one had an ocean view the other had a private pool. Sounded pretty equal to me just a different amenity.

Regardless of who paid- he had been looking forward to the honeymoon suite and was given a clearly inferior room to what had been promised and paid for. Moreover when he raised it (initially pretty mildly) the hotel manager gaslighted him and blatantly lied to his face instead of just acknowledging the mistake and apologizing- which was what understandably especially got to him. Regardless of how dislikable he may be as a person, he was 100% in the right on this issue and the people saying he should have just let it go are apparently complete pushovers that are fine with being taken advantage of.

No idea but it is not the hotel's issue. It is always a mistake to hide it. They either like you or they don't. Hide it and they will find a reason to move on from you.

It is a failing on his wife's part to want to let it go. This is also not real life. In real life they would have moved the guy or everything would be free.
