How many more will die under this Governor?
Why didn't he let the police or the National Guard intervene sooner, before someone got killed? |
Because he was following a court order. |
Quit sock puppeting. Nobody is letting you use McAulliffe as a shiny distraction. |
|
It's only a day later and already the alt-right crazies are trying to change the facts.

This story and photo will haunt me. It's 2017. 8 staples in his head, a broken wrist and chipped tooth. No one arrested. All these people standing around watching. WTF!

This. The Governor was in a damned did you do/ damned if you don't situation. The City had public safety concerns before the rally took place and said they couldn't secure the demonstration area. They tried to move it to an area that could be better secured. And a federal Court ordered them not to. http://www.nbc29.com/story/36115819/judge-grants-injunction-jason-kessler-can-have-unite-the-right-rally-at-emancipation-park If McAuliffe had moved the National Guard in before he absolutely had to, the Alt right would have sued. He didn't more them fast enough, and people are pissed. Here's an idea, maybe the Alt right (and the ACLU, who represented them) should have worked with law enforcement to ensure public safety? Instead of forcing them to allow a protest that the CITY SAID WAS UNSAFE. |
Sorry, I don't read articles from The Root. |
Yep. Big ACLU supporter here, but they need to reflect now. |
I totally agree with this. I think the protestors were looking for trouble, per the WaPo. |
Well good for you. Several white nationalists chased a 20 year old black man into a parking garage and beat him with poles. There are video footage and photos. Awake now? |
This is a interesting response, but expected. When a minority has been identified as a killer or just a simple threat, our culture delves into his background to find things that explain how he got to that point. But it's always a search for signs of criminality or bad behavior. When a white person is identified as a killer or threat, our culture digs into their background to find hardship or factors beyond their control to explain how they finally just lost it. Then there's the effort to completely ignore the provable fact that Mr. Fields joined others who showed up at this event with a very specific intent to fight. They brought shields and flags on poles that were used as weapons. The promotional materials weren't for a peaceful protest, they were for a battle. They didn't just expect protesters, they wanted them. Once the police dispersed the crowd, Mr. Fields did not go home. He went back to his car and returned to inflict mass casualty. This pp says s/he doesn't want to excuse Fields' actions, but the narrative s/he presented is trying to do just that. |
Hmm, not sure where you are getting that from. Delusional much? |
|
| Of course he's a lone wolf. White terrorists always get blessed with that exculpatory label. It's only Muslims who are proxy for a massive worldwide religion when they act. |
You keep telling yourself this stuff. If it was meant to be a peaceful protest, why did a number o them show up in full camo and military garb including assault rifles? Why are they singing Nazi songs and brandishing swaztikas? You all keep saying we should get over losing the election. You all should get over having lost a war 150 years ago. You should also get over the local governments what were legally voted into office legally removing these symbols of hate and oppression. |
