And on that front, she does more for Britain than some single digit LoS members do. Truth.

Nobody hates Kate. Let me repeat that: nobody hates Kate. That's a figment of your tortured imagination. Or you're just using it as a super-cheap means to try to shut down conversation.

What people are asking about is her weight, her radiant appearance yesterday, and her job prospects once she's well. You don't like any questions whatsoever, so you call it hate. That's on you.

She's lost weight. No one is going to nail down the reason or reasons why. Creating theories may be fun for you, but it doesn't provide answers.

She looked nice yesterday. She is being dragged for her face looking too nice. I don't see how she would have had cosmetic surgery while going through chemo. Again, creating theories may be fun for some.

And what about her job prospects. What should she do differently? To me, a calendar full of factory tours and panels on seed conservation sounds deadly dull. That was the style of a reign that began in 1952. Prince Charles doesn't even want to carry on the same way. Look how his calendar differs from his mother's. By the time William takes over the roles could be much different.

Prince Charles is working his butt off despite having cancer. Will and Kate have been dragged in the British Press for neither of them working much.

It's sort of shocking you think that because they might be bored learning about seed conservation, it's OK for the poor dears to idle their days away binging TV series or something. What exactly do you think their "much different" roles would look like, if they don't involve actually working?

He’s the king. Not Prince. It’s his job not his daughter in law’s.

Your commitment to Kate never having to lift a finger is awesome.

The BRF is stretched thin, with H&M and Andrew all out of the picture. They need Kate to take on some of the duties.

I’m starting to think you’re a troll who wants us to hate Kate.

No, just pointing your ridiculous mistake. How can you be so dense yet so sure of yourself? Read more books and fewer tabloids.

No mistakes were pointed out. Answer the question instead of insulting people.

He’s not the Prince, dolt.

We’re not talking about Charles, dolt. You’re so dishonest.

You simple refuse to stay on topic, which in this case is why you think there should be zero expectation for Kate or even William to do any work once she recovers, not even the simple work of cutting ribbons for an hour a day.

Go ahead. Stop gish galloping and tell us why you think Kate and William should live a life of bone idleness now that their kids are in school. While you’re at it, tell us why you think this will help not hurt the brf.

She.Has.Cancer. You don't know the details of its severity or her medical treatment. I think the BRF can survive with a few less ribbon cuttings this year from her and William too. Anyone with a heart and/or brain understands why they will be less visible this year.

Why are you so dishonest? Multiple times I and others said nobody expects her to lift a finger after she’s completely better.

Re-read your own posts, or that other person’s posts. One or more of you think she AND William shouldn’t have to work EVER again. Because the brf’s roles will “change” they said.Reasonable people want to know WHY and what their supposedly “new” roles will look like.

There are multiple people on this forum posting and unless you have magic powers (and your posts sound so unhinged, that you probably think you do), you don't know who is posting what. But IMHO, you are not reasonable, and most of us don't care what their "new roles" will look like because we're not British citizens and it's not our tax dollars funding their life (and even if I was British, I wouldn't care because I'm not in the habit of dogging people with cancer and their vulnerable family members).

+1 If you're so concerned about what Will and Kate's "new roles" would look like, how does that make you a reasonable person? If I care at all, it's in the same way that I feel badly when I hear of a young celebrity having health issues. I'm not concerned about what they do when/if they recover.

Honey. You or someone else made the post above about their supposedly new roles and how the poor dears should never have to do “deadly dull” ribbon cuttings or educational panels again. It’s not “unreasonable” or any of your other insults to ask them for further explanation. That’s how social media works.

Then go forth and ask them via their official channels. No one on DCUM is as obsessed with people we don't know as you are.

DP. We're all interested to see how the BRF will be now, after Elizabeth's passing, after Brexit and covid and Charles' diagnosis of cancer and poor prognosis and now Kate's diagnosis of cancer. This year has been William's year of stepping up. Charles had decades of waiting and found a place for himself with his conservationism. William won't have decades of waiting, so we'll see sooner than expected what the new role of the BRF is.

Or facial changes from diagnosis and treatment for cancer.

Thats far from the abdominal area though. All I know for sure is that the BRF royally messed up the messaging on all of this, the fake pictures and half truths have led us all to wonder what the heck is actually going on. Poor kids and Kate.

The only people who feel they've been "mislead" are psycho trolls. Normal people understand that she's entitled to her privacy.

DP. Name-calling is not an effective argument. Even those of us who believe she had abdominal surgery and cancer, and who aren't sure about the whole facelift thing, can acknowledge that her PR team really screwed up in a way that raised a lot of questions.

Also, "misled."

Says the person who labels anyone who likes her a "Disney princess" or a "Power Puff girl." It really is amusing how worked up you are over the BRF's "messaging." It's really disgraceful that they didn't consult YOU first!!

Honestly, the way you guys write about her, it sounds like you think bluebirds should flutter around Kate while she whiles away the time her kids are in school getting pedicures instead of working. And you wonder why people think you have a Disney obsession.

There’s nothing wrong with getting pedicures when her kids are in school. She does her job of promoting the BRF’s interests very well. It might not be the life you want, but she is an asset to them.

Wait, wait. You said repeatedly she shouldn’t have to do any job at all. Which is it.

This is my first time commenting on this thread. Please tell me which comment came from my IP address. Promoting the interests of the BRF is not a 9-5 job, but it is work. Also, I get pedicures from time to time when my kids are in school. What’s wrong with that? I’m not neglecting my kids or my other responsibilities when I do it.

+1. Plus Kate’s kids are still young and she’s raising them herself and not sending them to boarding school. So that means she’s much more hands on. Given the intense scrutiny the kids get she’s got to work on their manners, grooming, etc, pretty much constantly.

All three of Kate’s kids are now in school and she has an army of 60 staff. Next.

She has nannies even when they’re home from school. And cooks and housecleaners and the personal assistants. She could get away for two hours in a chauffeur-driven car to cut a ribbon. (When she’s well.)

royal family “duties” are all make-work. Kate did the one actual duty, perhaps the ONLY actual royal labor that exists: bear the 3 heirs.

Wrong. The late Queen used to say that unless the royal family was seen out and about supporting charities etc, they’d become irrelevant. Also, you sound like an Incel in your expectations of women.

The late Queen was born nearly 100 years ago. Social media and TV provides much more visible ways for royals to engage than having them cut a ribbon for a grocery store opening. More efficient and much greater outreach.

+1 Do you not get that the world and all of its communication channels have completely changed?

I have two kids and a full-time job. My kids are doing great in private school and magnets. Cue the accusations of jealousy.

How is being a cat mom going?

But this actually puts a fine point on the problem, which is that Kate is relatable now but she won’t be if she locks herself up in a tower forever, descendant only for the occasional big charity ball in her tiara.

The poster who wrote that had reasons. It’s fine to ask what those reasons were without attracting your endless verbal abuse.

You can ask but you can't demand answers. You've tried, how is that going?

"Demanding" PP is waiting for Kate herself to join the DCUM discussion and answer all her questions.

Or facial changes from diagnosis and treatment for cancer.

Just a thought.

Next.

Sounds like you don't have kids to post that.

So it's just a gussied up SAHM vs WOHM battle? The jealousy will never cease.

Well, if she lives past her first year of chemo and locks herself up in a tower, we can address that problem. In the meantime, you sound like a sociopath--hammering on a woman with 3 young kids who got a shock diagnosis cancer.

The difference between managing 2 kids and 3 is real. If you have any friends with 3 kids, you know that but aren't willing to admit it. But there's a lot you aren't willing to admit anonymously.

royal family “duties” are all make-work.

DP. No, not really. Insta posts are one form of communication but they don't beat IRL. Which William knows and he has been out working solo these past few months.
