anyone know about the "Virginia Valor Fathers Day Fiesta" or the "FPYC Fathers Day Tournament"

There are no carded travel players allowed. You can pick the best kids from among all of your rec teams at your club. Those are the 'All-Stars' then.
They do offer a flight for NCSL rec teams who want to stay as a group and have everyone play instead of just the best kids on the team. They said that since there is no longer an SFL tournament this is an option to the former SFL teams to still get an end of the season tournament like they used to. I guess NCSL does not have that for them.

Isn't this coming up again soon? What teams are doing Valor's Tournament vs FPYC's? Seems like the consensus was that Valor's tournament was a joke.

Last year they mixed up the regular rec teams with the all star teams and then mixed up the age groups because they couldn't get enough teams. The scores were in 20-0. Middle school boys regular teams playing u19 all star teams etc.

They did not publish actual scores. Apparently SYA tricked the rec coaches into agreeing to play by telling them it was a regular rec tournament. One coach quit mid-tournament.

I was just thinking about this s-show! I looked on the Valor site for their coaches list and noticed they changed the logo from that offensive South of the Border thing they had going on. So thanks for reading along here guys!

Too bad they didnt also listen to the feedback on how terrible this tournament was.
Must have really made some cash off those poor rec league kids.

The medals were nice, nothing wrong with them . The sombrero design was cool. Why does everyone need to be offended these days? If it were a baseball cap, that would br ok?

I remember multiple rec parents posting that the medals broke while the coaches were handing them out or when the kids dropped them. Sounded like they were just super chintzy.

Which is weird bc the tournament had so few actual winning teams with how small it was, they didn't have to shop over to dollar tree.
