There have been lots of Brave and Valor girls at SYC tryouts (plus Loudoun, the commute for which is incomprehensible to me). No idea about any of the BS in this thread, but there certainly seems to be more movement than there might otherwise be. |
I know there's been alot of joking about "Confirmed!, etc. But what I can confirm is that I spoke with my kid's ECNL coach and they confirmed that this is definitely being discussed for as soon as the 2024-2025 season. I also heard from a TD at an unaffiliated club and he also told me that this is being discussed. I'm not sure what the hold ups are, but this is definitely a possibility. |
FCV bags there too. |

They may be able to start charging for ID sessions based on expected attendence this year. Maybe parking too. |
😂😂😂 Please, don’t give clubs any ideas! |
LOL. Now that someone has said it, I’m actually surprised that clubs haven’t tried this yet! Ok, it’s $59.99 to register for tryouts. Would you like to upgrade to priority consideration for only $39.99 more? Parking is free but it’s about a mile away. We do offer a $27.99 option to park here at the facility for our players who opt for the priority consideration package. |
My son told me they were told by coach it’s happening. No other info provided. |

Fairfax Virginia Soccer Clubs Unite to Form Fairfax Virginia Union
Fairfax Virginia soccer clubs unite to advance youth development and competition. Braddock Road Youth Club (BRYC), McLean Youth Soccer Club (MYSC), and Vienna Youth Soccer (VYS) are the founding clubs in launching a new club, Fairfax Virginia Union. The new club will be equally governed by the founding clubs. Fairfax Virginia Union’s inaugural ECNL National League season will kick off this fall for the 2024-2025 seasonal year for both boys' and girls' teams from U13 to U19. Fairfax BRAVE and Virginia Union will finish their spring seasons, including Nationals for the teams that qualify. Each club, BRYC, MYS, and VYS all have a role to play in both the player and coach pathway. Each will continue to independently operate all of their current programs, including recreational, travel (ECNL Regional League and NCSL), and adult. The continued success of each club will ensure a strong and growing pipeline of talented players in the years to come. It is important to recognize that Northern Virginia has a rich history of success at all levels across many clubs. This union is just the beginning of further collaboration led by Fairfax Virginia Union to continue this history. In the coming days, we will launch our website, coaching slate, registration for ID Sessions, and FAQs.
