GA2 is no different than pre-ecnl 2 teams. If you aren't first team the added title means nothing. You're just second team. |
Nope. It's the teams fault not the goalie's fault, always. When a goalie is put in a position to have to play, that's the team's fault, not the goalies fault if it goes in, no matter what. The entire purpose of your defense is to make sure the goalie never has to touch the ball and should just be bored out of their mind standing in goal. These are things that are literally stated two players by coaches; but go off. |
Denial is not a river in Egypt. |
It sure is. What's your point? I don't understand your obsession with blaming a goalie for a team losing games. Maybe spend more time developing your player to be a winning player and worry less about the kid on goal. |
VRSC families of GA and GA2, what are your realistic expectations for your daughters and their team? |
Have fun. Learn about winning. Learn about losing. Quality coaching along the way. Carry those lessons forward in life. Hopefully stay injury free. Oh, and don’t marry a liberal. And we’re good. |
Someone on here loves this line 🤣 |
By watching how opponents act? |
By that logic, just play 11 in the field. If you can never rely on a goalie, play an extra mid fielder |
boys are leaving so hope the GA works out for VRSC |
Boys are leaving? Which ages? Reasons for boys leaving? A few of my son’s friends are going there so. |
I never said anything about blaming a goalie for a team losing games. That's just you, projecting. Every player on the field can make mistakes, including a goalie. No one is immune from making a bad play. It happens. Sometimes that one mistake can cost a goal and you lose by one. Does that mean that player "lost the game" for the team? Not specifically, no. It's a team sport and they all win or lose together. But to say that nothing is ever the goalies fault is disingenuous at best. |
You had me at first not gonna lie. Sentences 1-6 are great. |
You're right. Sentences 1-6 are great, but #7 is truly EPIC. |
Many boys are leaving because they didn't get offers to come back. This is what I am seeing for the lower teams. VRSC had a large turnout for the boys during tryouts. When better quality players come to the club, the decision has to be made to cut existing players who were on the bubble. |
